Muscle spasms

Hi fellow lupuies! I was diagnosed 6months ago after experiencing severe joint pains. I am cirrentlu on plaquinil and naproxen but lately I have been having muscle spasms all over my body. Does anyone else have spasms?

Dont understantand muscle spasms all over my body. . that means you cannot move parts of your limbs. at certain times. its that right? I say this becacuse I get spasms, One thing I was told by my Neuro was to avoid hot baths as they drain all the energy out of you and lets face it we are not over flowing with it. If you are having spasms you need to see a Neuro, see your Doctor and ask to be refered. As they are painful and could be caused by something else. Good luck

I have muscle jerks as i call them. I am on amitriptalyne which helps to calm them down - also helps me sleep at night and prevents regular migraines.

Yes i have them too but it has just resently started about 8 moths ago, they come in all areas of my body and are very painful when they come they usually only last about 10-15 mins although i do have constant mucle pain daily all over, but the spasms are sever wen they get in to action, OUCHHHHHH.. i have had more blood test recently regarding new symptons and this is one of them so hospital on fri so hope to get more results , a good massage from my partner usualy help wen the spasms come bu its so frustraighting at times. but will keep on doing all i can i wont lie down to this illness , wish you well...
