Burning pains in arm

hi Everyone.....For the past 2 and a half months I have had trouble with my left arm.The pain on the outside of my arm is like a dull toothache gnawing all the time,on the inner arm from my neck down to my wrist it is burning and i literally fall on the floor in pain,feels as if Im stretching something which doesnt want to be stretched,though that burining pain lasts about 5 mins.I cannot use that arm to lean to get out of bath,pull anything or twist my arm as the pain is terrible can't even lift my arm to put deoderant on. I have twice told my doctor who the second time gave me a steroid injection under the scapula which did help the outside pain for about 2 weeks.Just had an MR! 2weeks ago for nerve neck damage through cervical spondilitis from years ago so hoping that might show something,also saw rheumy at hospital last week he dithered as normal said something about Ultrasound then it will take me an hour to read through your notes so will see what we do next time.Getting so frustrated as my other arm feels as if it is going the same way.The pain is also getting me down. I have Lupus,Rheaumatoid,Sjorojens,osteperousous etc etc lol. Help lol

Well got an appointmenet through this morning for x ray this friday evn though he said ultrasound from hospital. Saw doc yesterday and the MRI result hasnt come through yet that was 2 weeks ago.Thanks Janice just wondered if it was to do with inflammation. Love and Light Margo xx

I have a mystery left arm aswell mine swells up for no reason, i dont let any blood to be taken on that arm nor blood pressure. I recently found out i have thoratic outlet sydrome which is where there is a narrowing of where the blood and nerve supply goes from the neck through to shoulder and arm. I lose sensation if i hold a phone to my ear or do anything shoulder and above. Its like a weird pain/ noring ache i used to prop it up on a pillow to make it more comfortable then i was told to prop it higher than my heart to get the swelling down it hurts but its better than have the ache.

I just wondered if that helps i must admit no one has given me an answer but it does seem to work after having this for years and years.

I think our medical problems scare them off when we know there is no magic wand but just want to stop the pain and be more comfortable. I had to keep measuring my arms to compare because they didnt believe what i was saying.

Yes, but mine burning is in me left leg, and I also Have phantom feelings like something is falling or rolling down both legs. Haven't had chance to tell my Dr. Let you know what he says.

Hi Niks and magic. Had my x ray today which hurt on the second x ray.I have noticed that shoulder had dropped and is lower then my other.I can't raise my arm hardley at all and little things like pulling trousers up etc with it hurts like mad. the stupid thing is I forget sometimes and go to reach for something and the burning pain is so bad i actually swear and feel like crumpling myself up,as if red hot needles are shoved down my inner arm twising to the lower front and then into my hand,then it shoots from my arm up to my neck affecting the collar bone I have noticed though for the past year i would turn my head and feel like a crunch just at the start of my neck at the back where the neck slopes in from the shoulder,this place hurts when I touch it so wondering if that is connected also i am now starting to get the same in my right arm but slight at the moment.I will let you know any results.Love and Light margo

i went to the same and nothing help until my doctor sent me to university and they diagnostics me with fybromalagia they give me more pills but this time did help but pain come every now and then specially when i stress too much i have lupus and my doctor (from the university) tell me no all the time but alot of people with lupus get fybro you ask you doc next time about it there is not a test for fybro good luck

i also have intermittent heat sensationon my left thigh alomst like i have a warm something on my thigh, then it goes away, i also have slowly developed this numb burning sensation in myright breast and the under arm leading to the back, its been happening over a week now, and still nothing, i hope there is a resolution xx
