does anyone know how long it takes for DSDNA results to come back please? NHS online data 7 days but the nurse today told me 1-2 days. Thank you!

I suspect it depends on the hospital/lab - James Cook in Middlesborough says 5-7 days and it is a big hospital. Most NHS ones are 7 days. Private labs quote 4 days turnaround. No-one claims 1 to 2 days! Maybe she was thinking of other tests.

Thank you! I did suspect 7ish days as when I asked exactly what tests my rheumy had requested they didn’t know what DSDNA was! Irritating as that’s the one I’m most impatient for! 😂

So she just got rid of the annoying patient by letting her stomach rumble!!!! What's the matter with "I'm not sure for special tests"? Some tests are done once a week so they have a few to do which increases reliability of results. The sample arrives on a Monday - won't be done until Friday.

Be grateful - DNA testing used to take MONTHS!!!!

Oh interesting! I’m also anticipating my kidney results too but I know they’ll come through quite soon!

The general done every day stuff can be very fast but the out of the ordinary stuff - not always.
