Thanks for asking.... Would you believe still waiting for my results! Left a message with gastro secretary who told me the earliest he could see me was for an appt. was the end of January. So I said that I hoped if it was serious he would call me!!! He was off on holiday.... I am sure he would....
Having had my internal digestive system flushed for these tests seem to have helped & I've been fasting abit and only eating a very small amount in the am. which has calmed my stomach.... Wondering too if last steroids helped just delayed reactions...???
Absolutely fatigued so like all of us pacing myself...

Oh maggie, i can't believe your now struggling to get your gastro results.This has gone on way too long. They must have something to tell you saying earliest you can be seen is end jan!!. I do hope you've got an appt then. Im glad you've improved flushing it all out and as you say maybe the steroids and fasting have helped. Our digestions can do funny things.
Ive been left with a new diagnosis of adrenal insufficiency but i can't see the consultant Endo till at least Jan sometime and im so symptomatic!!.im on waiting list for an appt. Its horrible isnt it knowing somethings wrong and you can't get to the treatment to be helped. ?.

I got the letter from the NHS today telling me im eligible for antivirals if i test posotive for covid and telling me what to do. That helps me feel better too. Did have good gp chat but no extra help for adrenals. Got a plan though for watching my liver readings and telling rheumy nurses in Jan. It helps you feel cared for doesnt it?.

Thanks good news about the anti virals and the increased support from your gp, very positive π€π». I think we are a bit behind here as there as been not word about the anti virals , i think they are still discussing the plan for a possible lockdown. Alot of bars and coffee shops are closing this week until after Christmas because of staff isolating, i do think it might get worse. We will have to hope that next year will bring more positive news and further steps forward with virus.

Our local health correspondent said yesterday that we are down on hospital admissions compared to 5 months ago which is positive πTook my youngest to get his booster today , managed to get another box of lateral flow tests very hard to find!!!

Iβm on track for being ready for Christmas. Shopping is finished, mainly thanks to Amazon! Spread out wrapping as I find that the hardest job with my back, hip and finger problems. My brother, who still lives with my Mum too, does the cooking on the day as well as making the most delicious fudge π
Have to be honest and say I am a little concerned about this Omicron variant. I was never called for a booster and it turns out that the admin staff put down I didnβt want one when I cancelled the appointment for my flu jab. Iβd already had that done at my GP surgery! Will make an appointment myself but will wait until after Christmas just in case I have any reactions. Just wish they would close schools two and a half days early. Why risk staff and pupils contracting this before Christmas? My brother is talking off just keeping my niece off.

What a mistake to put you down as not wanting a booster because you changrd flu jab appt. Sensible now to have it after xmas. This variant is scary as it transmits so fast but ive recently read pfizer jab will give added protection for it. Also, there not seeing flu cases again because of it. I do agree re schools shuttung early. We never did much end of term so it would be a good idea. Hope your brother decides to keep your niece and family safe.

Mira is usually frightened of very big dogs but the 2 that live by us she is so frightened of - donβt know why as they seem lovely little dogs - think itβs all to do with she was socialised properly as she was born in lockdown right at the beginning and I shielded for months on end - yes I can imagine you are feeling quite unwell - I so hope your appointment comes through xxx

Pixie the puppy is only 16 wks tho but she spends a lot of time riding around like this on her new brother Ted's back! She is a cockapoo tho not very 'poo' more cocker tho has sausage dog colouring! Its tough though needing it badly and having to wait extra time. π€your first on the list on 17/1 ,,but we won't hold our breath even for then will we?. Ive definitely got Strictly withdrawal symptoms today and like you i cried so much as it was just a beautiful show. So CLOSE and really hard for A.j. i wonder if they will invite her back when its healed?. I was so thrilled at rose and gio i couldnt get to sleep properly either.

I was really sick for a few days and had no choice but to stay off of mine and it liked that. Unfortunately, the rest of my body was worse than the foot at the time. I hope you hear from the endo dr. so you can get some answers really soon. Santa needs to listen.

Oh daisy, thank goodness you've come to the rescue of harry and your feeding him up for more hibernation. It is worrying when they appear suddenly specially as its so cold at the mo.

Ive just seen the Endo consultant who wants me to be on 3.5mg steroids before she'll do the 2nd adrenal test!!. That was disappointing as its going to be tough to do. She will see me in 4 -6 months and there is a nurse helpline if i have probs. I can reduce by 0.5mg every 3 months to be kinder to my body.
I got an xtra months relief from steroid injection and will see pain consultsnt in 2 weeks about my foot. Its painful now!.
Im sorry 'cutie pics ' has been so delayed as ive felt so poorly. I will post one soon so watch this space.
Misty, I am so sorry to hear that you are still struggling with the adrenal. I can't understand having to wait for another 4 -6 months to test again. It is so concerning. Also, that your foot is more painful again. It is so hard to cope with the way thins are handled with doctors. My foot is now wrapped. Because of the cellulitis in the hammertoe, I can't have anything touching it. So I couldn't wear the boot or anything else. The break hasn't healed yet. I am hoping that when I go back on Feb. 7, it will be healed. I am thinking it isn't as swelled maybe. Then the question will be the hammertoe. The strange thing is , my other foot has been waking me up with sharp burning pain and at times what seems like neuropathy. It looks all right, so I am assuming it is arthritis. For so long, my feet were the only part of my body that didn't bother me.
Please do not worry about the "cutie pics". I just have been concerned for you. Adrenaline problems are more important. I hope you do't have any issues with the steroids. I take 7.5 everyday and have for some time. I haven't had any problems, but know that the rheumatologist would rather that was lower. I just don't want to rock the boat at the moment.
Just know that I will keep hoping for the best for you. It is hard enough to feel bad, but harder when you are in a waiting game needing answers. Take the best care of yourself that you can.
Thank you pumpkin for your lovely understanding message. I did say to Endo consultant I couldn't manage and she said talk to Rheumy. I was so disappointed she wouldn't test me till steroids were down to 3mg. She's now conceded to 3.5 mg but I still don't think I can manage it. I will have to try and then tell the nurse if it's really hard. I was fine till I got to 4.5 mg and then having cortisol test threw up this problem. You might find the same pumpkin!. Have you taken steroids for a long time?.
I'm so very sorry your having such awful feet problems suddenly. I will keep ππ»for the 7 th and your foot being healed. Hope the cellulitis improves to. You must be so fed up. My pain appt for my foot was delayed by a month. It sometimes feels like a conspiracy to keep us suffering.
