Hey everyone, I know there are a lot of pointers in how to avoid an infection but they do happen from time to time. Just wondering if anyone has tips when they catch the flu? Anything that works well during this time? This is the second flu I have caught this year, so any tips would be deeply appreciated to hit it hard quickly in the beginning.
Thank you!!

This is advice in UK for patients on steroids (and many on another forum - PMRGCA, you can follow it) , it might be worth looking at and discussing with your doctor-
KEEP Vitamin D LEVEL at 50 - 70 to help FIGHT “all viruses”.
One year, when I could not get the flu shot, the pharmacist told me as long as I kept my vitamin D level up to a good level, that is as good as getting a flu shot. And I never called the flu that year. Just one instance, where it might’ve helped.
Since Lupus Patients aren’t supposed to get SUN- we need Vitamin D3 to supplement.
Take DECONGESTANTS, MUCINEX to loosen congestion, ZINC 50 mg at least a day, VITAMIN C (1000-4000 a day), HONEY & TEA (antioxidants), SALT-Water throat Rinses, SALINE NOSE SPRAYS (Arm & Hammer Simply Saline Nose Mist), STAY HOME & GET WELL.
Important to take:
Vitamin D, Vitamin C, Zinc & “Quercetin*** which works w/Zinc
Thank you for your reply, really appreciate your advice and help with this situation. I have trouble sleeping on my front but I will try that. have difficulty on my back, keep coughing during the night. I take Vitamin D daily, for photosensitive. Just started taking womens health supplement which covers magnesium and Zinc and take vitamin C every morning. Hopefully everything I have done will work this time round! Thanks again for your support!
