Hello everyoneJust thought i'd post this fun picture of dogs playing frisbee!.

There's been a three year break because of the pandemic but now the World Finals of Dog frisbee are going ahead with these two contestants taking part in the Toss and Fetch category!. I'm sure a lot of your lovely dogs would like to have a go!. 🙂

Wouldnt we love some of their energy too?.

Hi Misty. Oh what fun that looks but as you say I wish I had even half their energy!🤣 We arrived in Keswick yesterday and moved one of the sofas to where we had it last year only to find a mass of cocoons and chewed carpet under it! A moth infestation!🤢 Luckily the vacuum was in the hall cupboard so we set to work cleaning it up as we’d hate to take some of the perishers home with us!😩 Poor hubby had to do most of the work because my shoulder and back are still very painful, but it is so nice to be here and able to relax now the cleaning is done!🤣

Sorry your foot pain is creeping back 😩 and that you still haven’t heard back about upper GI surgical appt. That’s miserable. I’m still waiting for my Rheumy appt which was due at the end of August. I’ve reminded them twice but they just keep saying they’ll get to me they are just so far behind! Isn’t it awful?

Glad you arrived in Keswick, sorry to hear about the moth infestation, you didn’t need that just as you arrive on your break 😣 and sorry to hear your back and shoulder are troubling you again, I do hope you’re feeling a bit better for your little holiday this week and are able to enjoy it, as they say a change is as good as a rest.

Catch up soon, oh by the way I’ve bought a little frog knitting pattern, I thought I’d give it a go, I haven’t done much at all this year 🐸 🧶

At least the moths were under the sofa and not in hubby’s wallet!🤣 Thanks for your kind thoughts and wishes. As you say a change is as good as a rest so we’ll make the most of it and just enjoy being here, relaxing, mooching around and even the odd walk when weather and body allow.😉 I hope you have improved since last I heard? There’s always something eh?

A frog pattern sounds interesting . I look forward to seeing the end result. I’ve just finished a wee human character I’ve knitted in Christmas colours so I’ll show you when I finish putting him together. I feel lost without my knitting so have brought some with me 😁.

Thank you, Rudy’s going home later, I’ve given him a hug from you 🥰 he loves a hug 🤗. I have moments where I feel a bit better then it all goes downhill, I doubled my statin on Friday evening ( the one I was originally on) and felt absolutely dreadful and had a bad day yesterday so I’m not taking that again, I was ok on the lower dose but it wasn’t bringing my cholesterol down. I’ve got an appointment with the nutritionist tomorrow so that’ll be a challenge for her. I need to lose 2 stone so not sure how I’m going to do it while my mobility and diet are so limited, but I’m really hoping she can help me, it’s all very frustrating.

Anyway Spotty I hope you enjoy your week, little strolls out in such a lovely place will be so nice, fingers crossed your body will be kind to you 😊 🤞🥰❤️❤️❤️🐸xxx

My cholesterol is 5.1 so not overly high but my bad cholesterol is higher than it should be, interesting that you have given up on statins for the same reasons, it all feels a bit overwhelming at the moment, maybe I should just eat cardboard 😂🙈

🤣🤣 I’ll follow the same diet as you because I too need to lose weight but can’t exercise much at present and I put on weight SO easily. I mentioned cardboard to my hubby but he said it contains rat poison these days 😳 so maybe not a good idea!🤣 Keep me posted. Bear hugs back at you. 🤗💕😘xx

Thanx spotty for your lovely reply. It comes to something when you go away and have to do the accommodation cleaning!. You'd think they'd have checked before your arrival!!. Glad you've got there safely and i hope you have a relaxing week. Sorry about your back and shoulder being painful. Hope they improve this week.

Having to wait a long time for appt's is tough when we're in need. I hope you get your Rheumy one soon.

I'm ringing the hospital this week to see if my gastric referral has been upgraded. 🤞it has so i will reply to your other lovely messages during the week.

Just fabulous. Finlay never brings anything back. He races after it and then it is his. Hopefully that will change 🤞🏻. These dogs look as if the are having the best time. Finlay does laps of the garden before I can turn around. I dot think I have ever had that amount of energy and now my batteries are empty with the 3am toilet duties and the 7am-8am breakfast followed by major zoomies.

I am so sorry that you still haven’t got a Gastroenterologist appointment lovely. I really hope you get one soon 🤞🏻🙏🏻Xxx

Its a good thing you get the lovable and adorable side of Finlay as his other side can be really challenging for you especially as your ill!. Im sure training will help a lot.

Ive phoned the hospital and no my referral hasnt been upgraded to urgent !!. I was put thru to the gastro-surgeon's secretary who said she'd email her colleague who id sent letter to, ie my gastro consultant's secretary and she'd ring me when she had an answer!. At leadt i can re-send a letter. Its so exhausting chasing all the time but its only way to get anywhere in the NHS now.

Hi Misty, sadly I did agree with the decision but must admit I cried when Ellie was talking to JoJo. I think as good as Molly and Fleur are the public do not like them so I don’t think either will win. I thought Will and Nancy were A M A Z I N G darling lol, they deserved to be top of the Leaderboard l I thought Anton was very rude about Hamza too.

It is exhausting chasing things. It took me two months just to get a tube of local anaesthetic ointment. I do hope the secretary will chase things up for you lovely. I know you must be sick of pain. Finlay has been a darling today, no biting and no 💩 in the house bless him Please keep us updated xxx

Well look at that I never knew there was such a thing as dog frisbee competitions 😂 I bet they love that! Goodness I would love their energy, I can’t remember what it’s like not being fatigued all the time😞

We’ve got our lovely grand dog here again, he spends a lot of time with us these days so we get our doggie fix without actually having a dog 😂 he’s a good boy and good company, I love our snuggles 🥰

I do hope you hear something soon, we seem to have to wait an age for everything these days unless we pay private 😢 and it shouldn’t be that way!

Sorry you’re starting to feel your foot pain again too, you don’t need that on top of everything else😞

Thank you lovely dianne for your lovely mesdages. Its great dog sitting as when you've had enough you hand them back. Fab you've had your cuddle fix with Rudy this weekend. I'm very sorry at all you've got going on this next fortnight. Must feel very overwhelming.

Glad you liked it striated. I can understand why you can't watch Strictly. The special effects and brightness is really striking this year and would be so hard on eyes/brains. Can you watch the Results Show?. It was lovely again this week with kym and Graziano not competing thanks to Covid. Hopefully they'll be back next week. Its Musicals week and the 1/4 final. Can you believe that?.

Glad you liked them weathervane. I love dog agility at Crufts. Its amazing what they can do!. They're such happy dogs being active. I know what you mean about needing more energy. If only we could tap into it!.

I agree with you re Strictly decision. She looked very tired and the routine wasnt as good as the Rumba. Its all so close now, can't believe its quarter -final time already and Musicals!!. Love that one.

We're also enjoying Adrian Dunbar's Ireland journey. He's a natural and showing us where he grew up. Its relaxing telly at night. Have you seen it?. You'll love it if you havent.

Im not sure if the rituximab has worked so well for me this time , my joints are swollen and sore , more fatigue . Hopefully it might settle , if not i will contact the rheumy nurse, might need a steroid shot??

I just don’t have the energy for Christmas 🫠🫠

I'm sorry weathervane that retuximab may not be working so well for you now. I do hope it suddenly kicks in and you feel better soon. 🤞you won't need the steroid shot. Hamza is my favourite too along with Helen. He's just such a lovely person!. Its really tough now to choose. Looking forward to Saturday.

Its a beautiful area to have grown up in where Adrian Dunbar did too. You will love the program!. How far away do you live now from your childhood roots?.

It looks like i'll be secretary chasing again on thursday. I so agree with you too about being too tired for Xmas. Its hard enough dealing with our normal day to day medical lives without having to fit in an extra like Xmas!!.its sad though!. I'm doing a very scaled back version. We're having to juggle post strikes too. Are you?.
