brown nails

my fingernails have gone brown and are splitting. Could this be due to stopping medication. I’ve been on hydroxychloroquine for years and methotrexate for months but recently stopped them both as I was sure they were causing my leg muscle pains.

Does anyone else have brown nails due to meds?

Hi BK47 sorry I can’t help you , I’ve been on methotrexate for 7 years now with no problems, is that your little Frenchie in your profile pic ? Xx

Thank for the reply- I’m pleased that methotrexate has helped you xThe photo is Harry, my daughters little frenchie - he spends his days with me while she works and sometimes nights too. He is adorable if a little energetic for a 75 year old! But I love him dearly ❤️
