A fun pic

Hello Everyone

I thought it time for a fun 'cutie pic' and ive needed cheering up this week.

This great guy is from Bali and he takes six of his twenty rescue dogs on his motorbike collecting unwanted food from restaurants. Their trade has dwindled recently as Bali relies on tourism. Many, islanders regularly donate food to him which he passes on to those in need. Restores faith in human nature doesnt it?.

I hope you are all as well as possible and keeping safe in any sun we get!.

P.s, still waiting in awful pain for Gastro appt. Have just heard today that my leg injections have been delayed till july 4th!. These appointment changes are so hard for us arent they?.😪

Oh what a fab photo - bought such a smile to my face, thanks Misty - so sorry that your leg injections have been delayed and that your in a lot of gastro pain - your having a truly awful time of it but what a lovely person you are to post cute pics for us on the forum when you are in so much pain ❤️

I love collecting them as its a lovely distraction from all the pain. Im specially upset at leg injections as it spoils my birthday but thanx to this wonderful forum , it helps me get thru , knowing i'm not alone.

Do hope Bea and Mira are doing well. So looking forward to your big day and the lovely photos. Coming quickly now really.

Oh bless you svfarmer, thats so kind but its not my birthday , not till 10/6! 7 weeks is about when my leg injections have been changed to begining of july!!. Hope we bring each other luck. Are you having a big wedding or a smaller one?. You must be very nervous but hopefully excited as well. Im sure it will be lovely. Its amazing isnt it that it was so far into the future and suddenly its almost here!.

I’m so sorry that you are having gastro pain. Hopefully your appointment will come through soon. Appointments getting delayed are awful. I hope the time doesn’t pass too slowly for you.

I have an eye test on Friday. My first one since 2019! Not good when I’m on Hydroxychloroquine. Should get my eyes tested every year. I then have a face to face appointment with my rheumy on Monday. Might get some answers regarding my back.

Hi ge, glad you liked the pic and thank you for your lovely wishes. Im so pleased you've finally got a rheumy appt, f2face on Monday. You've had to wait so long for it. Thats given me heart.

Good luck too for your eye test. Its a worry being on hcq that you've had to wait so long but 🤞they'll be ok.

I will look out for your post ge to see how it all went. Im willing the phone to ring so much as i did want to be seen before the bank holiday. Not sure i will be now but im 🙏i do.

Hi misty. My eye test went fine. Slight change to my prescription but it is down to age not the hydroxy. The whole process was done very well with an assistant wiping down chairs etc. after they had been used. Same with the glasses. If frames were tried on and not wanted then they were cleaned before being put back. Have to go back in two weeks to collect my new glasses. Rheumatology on Monday now. Xx 👓 🧼 👩🏻‍⚕️

There used to be a newspaper called something like good news week.full of cheerful stories like this ..really positive.Sorry your having to wait so long.my dermatology appointment has been delayed 3 times now..by the time I go my spring rash will have disappeared.!!

I couldnt agree more tjo with you. We only hear about the bad!. There was a BBC newsreader Martyn Lewis ,a few years ago now ,who was an advocate of keeping the last item on the news as a positive/cheery one to end on!. That was also such a good idea.

Im very sorry your dermy appt has been postponed 3x. The'yre pushing follow ups further and further back to catch up on the backlog!. Its really tough when advice is so needed. Its also so demoralising waiting for the phone or post to come.

Keep watching the forum as im posting 'cutie pic' fortnightly to help keep our spirits going.

Hi foxglove , thanx for replying. Mine is liver function too. My Alt has been wonky for 2 years now and ive just developed an awful pain after eating on upper right side. I do hope you havent got this as well. I so need their advice as wonder if they're connected?. its awful how the waits are just getting longer. How long have you been waiting?. Do hope you hear soon. Misty, Thank you for the cheery pic. and reminding us that there are kind people out there that do not get the attention they deserve. I guess kindness, compassion and caring aren't dramatic enough for the drama seekers which is so sad. The benefits for good news is so much more important. Feeling angry for you with the constant delays. The gastro pain must not only be horrible, but frightening as well. You know that I will keep thinking good thoughts for you. I am so hoping for the day will you will have answers. Sorry about you leg injection as well. Right now, my biggest challenge is that Gigi was spayed on Monday and keeps getting the cone off. I am trying to keep her safe and calm and using all my energy. I know she doesn't understand. She is such a loving girl. At least she takes her pills well and understand how to drink water with the cone on. I can't wait until she is healed .

Im getting help with buscopan and my gp finally agreed to email the gastros to see me. Hopefully i will get something. I ring weekly and i just hope they're not away for half term. 🤞.

Any news of your MRi yet?. Ive finally today convinced my gp to chase gastros up with an email to hopefully get me seen. Its such a battle and so much harder when we're suffering. Its got me down lately that there's been no let up. This lovely forum is helping me keep going.

I always love dogs photos, I am surrounded by photos of Brodie. It is a comfort. No no news on the MRI yet. It is hard going with pulmonary rehab with my knees and hamstring issues but I am trying hard, hopefully it will help. I am currently despairing because my new dentist , at a practice I have used for 12 years told me I can no longer have work done there as I am too obese for the chairs. I have now had to be referred for a bariatric chair( up to 72 stones) for my dental work. I was mortified and so upset. I have never ever had a problem with the chairs. So I have to suffer with my temporary fix and no one can tell me where I have to go or when I will be seen. It is so demoralising. I really hope your GP’s email gets a swift response Misty 🤞🏻🙏🏻 Xxx

Well done with the pulmonary rehab. You know, whatever you can do ,like with your walking ,can only be better than doing nothing and benefit your body. Ive learnt this from different health professionals.

New dentist. Every other dentist has had no issues treating me. Same practice, same beds so it was such a huge shock. I know I am obese but I have never had a problem previously and it made me feel worthless. Fingers crossed for you on Monday lovely. XX

That is dreadful and the delay in your leg injection is cruel. 😩 When you are counting the days for your injection, to put it back is so hard. Thank you spotty for your lovely message. I really do appreciate it. I must admit my leg injections being delayed is what i really didnt need! But somehow we find the strength to keep going and posting on this wonderful forum is the best distraction i could have. I had a better day yesterday so that helps me keep going. Oh boy, its making up for it today and i just don't know why!!.

Im ringing the gastro secretary weekly to find out whats happening. Surely i will get an appt soon. 🤞

Thanx so much dear Spotty. Ive actually managed to persuade my gp to email the gastros on my behalf and say i need to be seen. He was surprised too that ive not managed to get an earlier appt so was willing to do it!. So, hopefully i might get an appt somehow. 🤞for Monday when we phone.

My hip injection has started to work , I need to concentrate on strengthening that leg as its alot weaker than the other.

We binge watched a really good series on Netflix .The Anatomy of a Scandal, would recommend it 👍

Ive finally convinced my gp of the help he could be in emailing gastros for me. He said he would yesterday b4 going on holiday . Thats been such a battle!. He was genuinely surprised id not heard anything.
