Hi everyone, firstly just want to wish everyone a very happy new year.
I know this is probably a daft question (I’m good at those) but I got my third primary dose of the vaccine at the beginning of November and am wondering what happens next. Will anyone who had a third dose be called for a Booster dose three months on or is that it?
Take care🤗🤗.

Hi, I had a letter from my rheumatology team recently advising me to get a 4th vaccine three months after my 3 primary dose of the covid vaccine. I had my 4 dose (booster) on Thursday this week. I had my 3rd primary dose of the vaccine on the 13th September. I just went along to the local vaccination centre where my GP practice is registered with. No appointment needed as they were doing walk in clinics. I wasn’t asked for any proof to why I should be having a 4th covid vaccine but was appreciative that my rheumatology team sent me a letter incase I needed the proof. Hope this helps a little x
I had my 3rd primary at the end of September, I got my letter to go for my booster in January and have to go to a primary school only a few miles away. Different place every time I get a vaccination. I’m in Scotland but can’t complain, my appointments have all came in on time.
That’s great you got a letter in and are all set for your next appointment. I was mid November for my 3rd dose so hopefully I’ll get something in after the holidays. Thanks.
Thanks, to be honest I'm very apprehensive given the times we're living at the moment but have no choice. Hopefully you will hear soon about your vaccine
I had my 3rd primary on 23 Oct. It was via my gp, who have a dedicated vaccination hub with 7 other surgeries. They coloured my name blue and boosters yellow, I asked why and they said so they know who needs call back in 3 months for their booster.
That sounds organised. In Scotland the GPs aren’t involved but the nurse at the vaccination centre said that she’d marked my record as a third dose so sounds like the same idea maybe just a different process.
Hi Froggie. I had my consultant on the phone on Friday. She says I’ll get a call for a booster shortly. Lothian health board. I’m not holding my breath but I’ll chase it up if I don’t hear by the end of the month.
Hi there thanks for replying, your consultant sounds really good, any questions I’ve asked mine about the vaccine she tells me it’s nothing to do with her. Hope we both hear something soon. Take care and thanks again.
I was told when I had my third that I would need a 4th in 6 months. Presume I would be called but focus then changed to general boosting. Hoping I may be called before 6 months as had all the other three 3 months apart.
I am so pleased you posted this as I have been wondering too. I had my 3rd primary vaccine (delayed) in December so I am assuming I will have my booster in 3 months.
Hi Freddie, That would be extremely helpful, thank you. Do you happen to know if we get the same vaccine as our 3rd primary? So far, I have had x2 AZ, followed by Pfizer (3rd primary). If we get Moderna on top it feels like quite a mix. Take care x
Hi there I’m not sure, I’ve had 3 AZ but nurse who gave me my last jab said next time it would be the Pfizer. If I find out I’ll certainly let you know. X
Thank you. Please let us know. Interestingly when I rang up to ask questions before my 3rd, I asked what vaccine I would be having. I was told whatever was in the fridge that day! When he realised it was my 3rd primary dose he said Pfizer. I have no idea why though x
I'm not sure where you're based so it might vary but here in Scotland it is 3 'primary' vaccines & then another so called 'booster' after 12 weeks (or more) for those of us who are vulnerable. Initially it was supposed to be the fourth was given six months after the third but it got pulled forward.
I had my third at the end of October so have my booster booked in for 14th January. There will then likely be another sometime after that but just have to wait and see.
Hi there, that’s great thanks. I’m in Scotland too, that’s great you’ve got your 4th dose booked. I should hopefully hear something for mid February. Thanks again and take care. X
What is the plan for prevention of Covid 19 infection?🧐
Can us CEVs actually rely on this government?
Received a long letter in July 2021 “telling me not to bother shielding”!
Utterly irresponsible from the health minister and Boris J.
Omicron seems highly infectious and I personally will forever shield with all the measures including wearing a FFP3 doubled up 😷 😷 always when out shopping, using public transport etc.
I had my 4th jab last week 3 months after my 3rd. At the jab centre I was told I would be getting a 5th in spring as I am immunosuppressed. I rang my GP surgery and they booked me the appointment for my 4th jab. I hope this helps
I'm in Scotland too. Got my 3rd dose mid October. Saw something about there being no letters for the booster and to book yourself so I went onto the website to check. I noticed that I was only down has having had 2 doses not 3 so phoned up to make sure it was recorded correctly. I know the nurse had it down as my 3rd dose with room for more when I got it. Anyway, got the records straight and booked my booster for this Wednesday, which I have now had to reorganise as I have the cold from hell (not covid, PCR done).
Hi there, first off hope you feel better soon, that was rubbish timing wasn’t it? Always the way. I’ve gone on to the app so I’ll see about booking an appointment if I don’t hear anything in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for replying and take care. x
Or you could be like me and get Covid after three jabs. I am fine and thought I had a heavy cold but one daughter had similar cough and it took exactly five days to test positive. I am not ill enough to have the anti viral drug on offer and not sure I would have taken it anyway
