After the first dose I had a headache, nausea, dizziness , stomach pain and tiredness. This lasted for 5 days. I’ve just had the 2nd. Is it going to be worse?
Anyone had 2 nd dose of Astra Zeneca vaccine with... - LUPUS UK
Anyone had 2 nd dose of Astra Zeneca vaccine with lupus?
I had my second dose Sunday - my symptoms aren’t as dreadful as the first dose, but today (Tuesday) I’ve started to feel the side-effects really kick in again, hope it passes soon x
I had my 2nd dose last Friday, rough 24 hours, then felt ok, but am now aching all over and feel like I have been hit by a bus, and developed sinus pain across bridge of nose. Hoping these pass in the coming days.
I've been in remission from SLE for over a year. I've had both vaccinations.
The first one made me feel unwell, I rested for an hour and it passed, the 2nd left me feeling light headed and dizzy on sunday a couple of days later. The 2nd one was last friday on the 9th. Monday morning I was fine. It passes and its about our safety xxx
I had no problems with the first dose. I’m going for my second one this afternoon so fingers crossed.
I had my 2nd dose on Sunday and apart from feeling tired (which is not that unusual) I have had no other reaction not even a sore arm like last time.
Thanks good to know x
Do feel better, it will pass just drink plenty water, icepak the area, my first dose was 😭😭😭😭 had body pain, fever, headache, the whole works, was in a flare for days, went on prednisone for a few days and took tylenol. My 2nd dose was not that bad cause I was prepared for what was coming, repeated the same and I was ok, I got the "Moderna" do feel better 🤗🤗💪💪💪💪
Hi, i am a week post Astra Zeneca 2nd dose and still feeling rough. Bad headaches, fatigue and jaw pain and the first 48 hours felt like I had been hit by a bus. I think reading the comments on here most people are getting a reaction to some degree. My solution is to take everyday as it comes, rest plenty, take painkillers and drink lots of water ,it will pass. It’s time consuming and frustrating but you wil get there.take care M x
I strongly suspect, as I said on here at the time, that 5 days after I had my first Astra vaccine it had triggered a Lupus flare that lasted several weeks. I hadn't had a flare for several years up till then. I am feeling much better now - however, I am having my second jab on Monday the 19th April , and I am hoping that my immune system recognises it this time 😂 But I prefer this to getting seriously ill with Covid 19!!
Me too - after the 1st vacc I had the worst flare Ive ever been through and Im still going through this 10 weeks later, my lupus was quiet and manageable but the vacc triggerred horredous flare, I had bloods done this week and awaiting results. Im due my 2nd AZ today & Im nervous that it will floor me again, I dont think I actually could feel any worse but Im also hoping my body will recognise it from 1st dose! Spoke to Rheummy & she advised that yes we will defo have side effects but the risk of covid is detrimental so we are really in a no win situation, my Rheummy didnt want to know any negatives about the vacc, not even re the risk of clots, just kept saying how important it is to take it.
