I hope it is all right I started a new post.I also am struggling with mouth ulcers. I think they started when I had Covid in Nov. , and I have long covid still. Could be lupus related, hard to tell. The ones on the inside of my lips are annoying, but do do not hurt. The ones under the tongue area do at times and seem to get worse as the day goes on.
My main question, it feels like my throat is irritated as well. Not the regular sore throat. I am wondering if I have ulcers in the throat as well. I have some drainage in my throat as well. Does anyone else have this feeling as well? What doctor should deal with this?
I am also dealing with sciatic like pain on the right side at the moment and I know there are worse things, but feeling frustrated.
Healing hugs.

Bless you, small but annoying are mouth ulcers. The throat drainage maybe post nasal drip caused by Covid. I take antihistamine daily which has reduced my throat issues and as soon as I stopped the throat irritation starts again. I find using an antibacterial mouthwash daily helped reduce mouth ulcers, it’s just from Sainsbury’s but it’s powerful. Avoid corsodyl as it can be bad for the heart.
Sadly, mouth ulcers come both with Covid and Lupus so you may have a double whammy.
Sciatica as well, you are not doing well. I swear by my hot water bottle and have regular massages but you would need to get a doctor to check there is no prolapse before starting a massage regime.
I have a friend that has been undergoing chemotherapy for the last year. Her oncologist recommended a solution of one liter water, 1 tsp baking soda, and 1 tsp table salt. Gargle with it several times a day. It has helped her.
Thank you so much. I keep wanting to tell myself that I am getting over Covid , but since I can't taste yet, it is all related. I am even having more trouble with fatigue than I was. I will be seeing my rheumatologist soon, but already know that there will be no real answers. It's funn, not, but before I got Covid, he said he wasn't so worried about me getting Covid accept for the age factor and the med I was on. Then, not going anywhere excepts doctors, I got it soon after that from my husband. Go figure. Your advice is well taken.]
I am 16months down the line and like to think I recovered, but have spent day in bed due to cough, chest tightness and dizziness. It doesn’t like to let go.I found rheumy helpful as had been on Covid wards so had greater understanding than most of Covid ways.
It is good your rheumy has that understanding. You are right, it doesn't want to let go. Whenever i think maybe I am doing better, it doesn't last and is false hope. I can tell that people who have had it and have no lingering affects don't understand either.
