Can your pharmacy still get Sunsense?

Morrisons are telling me their suppliers can’t get Sunsense until 2022. My GP surgery have substituted a Uvistat cream which I loathe. I have bought a 500ml pump bottle of Sunsense from Amazon but it’s pricey. Has anyone else had issues? Would I have more luck with an alternative pharmacy?

Boots can't get my Sunsense for the last 2 month's. No real explanation. Luckily I was a few in advance, but will be running out soon.

I made the mistake of running mine low 🙄 I'm guessing it's to do with imports from Australia and lack, or expense, of container shipments.

Yes I'd agree Cathyan. I'll have to get in touch with my Dermatologist. The Sunsense I got was in a roller dispenser which is a very useful handbag size. Hopefully the problem will resolve soon 🤞

I've used this sunscreen on my face and neck for the last few years Cathyan. I use it under foundation and found it non-greasy. It's made by Boots and I buy it when on offer, but it's not expensive to start with. I'll be using it on arms and legs when my Sunsense runs out.

Hi, I had the following response from the SunSence manufacturers - Ego Pharmaceuticals:

"We are currently reformulating SunSense Ultra SPF50+ and unfortunately, like many other things it has been severely delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic, hence the lack of availability. We are working on it as quickly as Covid restrictions and protocols will allow and this suggests that we will be able to launch toward the end of 2021.

"

I have also been given the Uvistat and if feels too thick and dry. Are the other factor 50 suncreams just as good? I find they are more moisturising.

Oh that’s very helpful to hear Yunnan. Thank you for finding out what’s been happening with it. I haven’t tried anything else but have bought 2x 500ml bottles from Amazon in hope they will do me for 6 months otherwise will try smudge’s suggestion. After recommendations from others on here I put Frezyderm Face50 (Sun screen velvet) on as well, over the Sunsense atm. It seems to make the protection on my face last longer through the day and takes the shine off.
