Oxford vaccination

So I had the Oxford vaccination and during the day I got really achy and just couldn’t move properly and a headache as well as a bit tempy, but then my Bpm increased for no reason and wouldn’t slow down? (90-103bpm) Did anybody else have this? I went to the A&E said it was an delayed reaction, but just wondered if anybody else had this

I had a bad reaction to the Oxford vaccine and know a lot of people that have ended up with flu like symptoms. I was ill for 2 days after the jab with aches, tieredness, headache, dizzyness and hot and cold flashes. I finally felt back to normal 6 days later. My arm also swelled up in the jab area with a big red circle that was 8cm wide. It appeared 2 days afterwards and just over 2 weeks later the redness has gone but I still have a big hard lump in my arm.

I too reacted badly to the Oxford vaccine - within 10 minutes I had a swollen face and tongue, red rash on torso, neck and face, racing heart rate at 120 bpm and BP through the roof. Paramedics sorted me out and I was prescribed 180 mg per day antihistamine for 7 days and symptoms very quickly abated. Also had a high temp and flu like symptoms for a couple of days after the vaccine aswell. Felt a bit washed out for a few weeks, so took life steady, but absolutely fine now. Having gone through all that I’m glad I had the vaccine and my second dose will be administered in a hospital setting. Hope you are feeling ok now?

I had the Oxford and have been ill since (jab was 2nd February), I’ve spoke to Drs and read some information and it says that they are unsure how a person with a autoimmune condition would react. They tested on ppl with a normal immune system. I have two autoimmune conditions and my sister has autoimmune conditions too and has been ill too, my mum has a good immune system and has been ok after her Oxford jab. I have to talk to my rheumatologist before I have the second jab in case they say I shouldn’t have it. I hope you feel better soon
