My granddaughter just she had similar for a few days - but she has asthma not lupus. I think the AZ vaccine does tend to have worse effects - but it is said it is better with the booster.

Hi Luppy kate, I think if you look through the posts you will find quite a few people reporting somewhat prolonged side effects from both vaccines, ranging from the noticeable but bearable to the needing medical attention. Good luck with your symptoms

Hi there, this could have been written about me!! Exactly the same symptoms, very sore hips, legs etc. I’m hoping this passes, not looking forward to the booster.

Yes. I have had a full lupus flare post Oxford jab and was put into high dose steroids to get it controlled. It took a month to feel a bit better. So sorry you aren’t feeling well.

I have noticed a flare too. Lucky for me it is mild and only affects my skin and mouth.

I had the Astra Zeneca jab and was fine for 24 hours. The following day I had a sore throat, swollen glands, joint pain and mouth ulcers which went in 48 hours. I hope all affected will feel better soon xx

Had the AZ jab 7 hours later felt like I was suffering from a Lupus flare. Shivering temperature exhaustion body felt like a lead weight. 24 hours in bed then next day felt fine. So although extremely unpleasant worth peace of mind now just hope second jab won’t be as bad 🤞.

Yes, I had a lupus flare, starting 4 days after the AZ vaccine, with aching joints, muscles and severe fatigue.

I also developed a sizeable red blotch at the injection site 10 days after vaccination. I reported these events to the MHRA and mentioned them to the GP.

Google for 'Covid arm' which only seems to be reported for the Moderna vaccine.

I had my Oxford jab beginning of February and I’ve been really ill since and flaring bad. I have sle lupus and fibromyalgia on top of problems with my lungs, I read some information and spoke to my Drs and they agree the jab has caused flares of both conditions. The information said that they haven’t tested the jab on ppl with autoimmune conditions so they don’t know how we would react to the jab. I have to contact my rheumatologist about my flares and.to discuss if I should have the second jab..... my sister had Oxford jab too and has autoimmune conditions and has been ill since having her jab... my mum had Oxford too doesn’t have any autoimmune conditions and hasn’t had any problems after having her jab which says something to me about the jab and flares
