Vaccine

At last my sister and I had our 1st vaccine today. It was definitely the Oxford one, some of you may remember last time, they were insisting on us having the pfizer, even though we told them that we were told not to have that one, but now it is done and I don't need to worry at every hospital appointment.

Congratulations Cal66🤗Glad to hear that you've had your vaccination..hope all is well with u n your sister.

Please bear in mind that u still have to sheild after the first vaccine, but I agree that it does give peace of mind knowing that we're partially vaccinated!! Keep taking the necessary precautions though 😉🌈😽😽xx

Why not the Pfizer vaccine? What was the advice? I’d be really interested to know.

I have over a dozen allergies some serious to different medications & was advised by GP to not have Pfizer also an Immunologist previously told me that I was to be careful of any medications incase I have another serious reaction and causes a heart attack.

Funny, my country has not had enough data yet to approve the AstraZeneca jab and yesterday a study confirmed it is not at all effective against the South Africa variant, unlike Jansen so it is very possible that it will not achieve EUA in the states. Not sure why you were advised against the MRNA.

Great news. It is a relief isn’t it? I had mine and was able to get my eyes tested at last xx

I have only reluctantly gone to hospital appointments, but I used my mask and hand gel and washed my hands as soon as I got home.At least having the vaccine stops my young nephew from being worried in case he brings the virus home to is all.

A friend who works in a Haematology lab and GP all said about it, including on the news that if you have allergies its advisable not to have the Pfizer

As long as your okay and haven't had bad effects that's good. You say 4 days of feeling bad, my sister and I are hoping these horrible effects will be gone by tomorrow, I felt too bad to get dressed today & can't wait to go to sleep again.
