The Storm has asked me to tell everybody here that she sends her love, peace and blessings to you all and is thinking of you while she battles with her health. She is really struggling at the moment and is extremely tired. So I hope you’ll join me in sending her warmest wishes and prayers for a recovery to health that is tolerable and that she’ll soon be back with us.
Stormy sent me a picture of a different kind of Flutter (the baby owl she rescued) which I thought I’d share with you.
Lots of love and hugs to our Stormy and to all of you. 🤗😘💖🌸🌺

so glad I dont have to feed them 2 lol 🤣 sorry to hear stormy is struggling at the moment 😔 please pass on my extra warm hugs from beside the fire add in a few thoughts and prayers and top with sloppy kisses. Xxxx
😂😂 Yes, they’d take a lot of feeding, and flowers too! 🌺🌸. I’ll tell Stormy about this post and she can receive your message and sloppy kisses first hand. I’m sure she’ll appreciate them SML. 😜 Take care. 🤗😘
I’ve a lot going on with hubby leaving this afternoon for Glasgow where he has his heart ablation tomorrow, funeral of neighbour and friend on Tuesday, same day as my long awaited ENT appointment, but we Lupies are all warriors so I’ll get there. I hope you are ok SML🙏🏻🙏🏻 Love and hugs 🤗😘
Sorry to hear of your friend and neighbour. I hope you find comfort in your memories.i hope your respective appointments go well and are successful 🤞
i had lung finction tests at preston on thurs which makes me cough so my chest has been sore the last few days and I think the driving has also made me extra tired.otherwise all ok .just come in with the dogs so time for a ☕. Yes we always manage to keep going dont we. 😘🤗 xx
Thanks for your kind wishes SML. I hope too that your chest feels better soon. The dogs keep you going don’t they. 🥰 I hope you enjoyed your cuppa and a nice 🍰 would make it even better.😉
I love this picture of the flowery owls 🦉- they would look great in our garden - we are getting chickens 🐓 very soon so have been getting everything ready for them.
I do hope your funeral goes as well as expected in the circumstance and please send my love and very best wishes to Storm for me ❤️
🍗 lunch 🤣 we live near allotments and once when millie was a youngster she disappeared and proudly came back with this chicken 😱 she let it go and it ran off.i couldn't tell her off as it's her natural instinct and breed x
If you are getting chickens you’ll need flowery chickens for your garden.😂 I’m sure Bea and Mira will soon get used to them and maybe the chooks’ reactions to the girls will help you choose names for them. How many are you getting? I wish you luck with them.
I’ll most definitiley pass on your good wishes to Stormy but I’m hoping she’ll read the post for herself once she’s up to it.🙏🏻
We are getting 8 chickens - I didn’t realise they came in so many varieties 😂 we have picked ours out today and collecting them Friday so will post a picture of them next weekend x
That is so exciting. We always had chickens when I was a child and loved the different colours we had from red, black, white and speckled greys. Looking forward to seeing the new additions to your family next weekend.👍🏻👍🏻
Lovely, look forward to the pics👍 They do come in many varieties some mix better than others. That’s eight names you’ve got to pick, that will keep you busy but fun 👍😂😂 I hope you love and enjoy them as much as I do mine 🙏👍x
Hey there - very sorry to hear your news... and that the Storm is poorly. Please pass on my best to her and a virtual hug, hoping she starts to feel better asap. She's so lovely. And re your hubs - I had ablation about 5yrs ago and it's not too bad. Do tell him you can ask for more sedation throughout the process if you find you are too awake... and the hiccups are hilarious.... Seriously though, I wish him a good procedure and convalescence. All the best to you all x
Thank you so much DJK. Hubby is about to leave so I’ll pass that on to him right now.
Stormy should be reading the post at some point so she’ll get your kind wishes. But I’ll pass them on too. Hoping you are keeping as well as can be. Take care. 🤗😘x
So sorry lovely I just read about your hubby’s procedure. I am so pleased that he came through it well. So sorry too about your neighbour. One of our neighbours passed a few months ago and it was heartbreaking to see her elderly husband breaking his heart and not be able to comfort him. We live is such difficult times. Huge Cwtches to you xx
Thanks so much for your kind wishes and hugs Cecily. Your poor neighbour - so difficult when we can’t comfort them. Luckily my neighbour has grown up family who came and supported him the first week and his daughter has left her dog (black lab) with him for company. We keep an eye on him and luckily he’s doing okay. Hoping things are improving for you Cecily. Take care. 🤗😘💕
Thanks Spotty. Oh dear, I'm so sorry - I was hopeful his experience of it might have been better than mine. I also said after, "I'm never doing that again!".... but I didn't like to say to you, of course. I presume he was awake for most of it as I was... very unpleasant if you are, which is why I said tell him to ask for more drugs if he needs to. My brother said he was out for the count for all of his.. which is what I was hoping for your hubby. I'm so sorry he had a bad experience of it too. So cold in there too, lying on the metal slab! I was shivering for hours after as I get severe raynauds and the cold gets right into my bones as I'm slim. My brother came to visit and take me home (as he knew what to expect of course) and I heard him say to the nurses as I was being wheeled into recovery "she's very pale"... and he never says anything! I do hope it works for your hubby. It actually took about 6mths for it to settle down for me. Apparently it can need doing again in the future... and I suppose, if it got bad again, I would. At least you know what to expect! I found it difficult to talk for quite a while - has he got that? He must rest and have NO STRESS for as long as it takes. I was off work for 2 weeks in the end (v stressful, high risk job) but obviously had the lupus etc going on too but wasn't formerly diagnosed then. Please pass on my best wishes to him, and hope he starts to notice the difference soon if not already. Brave man! xx
Oh, you poor thing. That sounds horrendous. Hubby doesn’t have Lupus or Raynauds (I have both) but he had open heart surgery 2 years ago and is 68. He had the procedure in Glasgow (almost 90 miles from here) and as I had an ENT appt the day he was due home he got transport home so I never saw him in hospital after the procedure. Heard from another member on this forum that her hubby had his done in the same hospital as my hubby, and it was done by a supervised trainee and went horribly wrong with the phrenic nerve being damaged! He had to get it done again 3 months later and it was a success that time. So I guess you and hubby were very lucky that didn’t happen to either of you! Hubby thinks he’s noticing a difference already and was thrilled to come off the Amiodarone which he’d been on for just over a year whilst waiting for the procedure. He thanks you for your kind wishes and sends his best back to you. Stay safe and well. 🤗😘
Thanks Spotty. I've just had a letter from my Cardiologist to say that the 48hr recording I had recently showed only bifocal ventricular ectopics and supra ventricular ectopics occasionally but was in sinus throughout! Hurrah! I certainly know about both of those as my heart almost jumps out of my chest. And if it's gone tachycardia stylee I just have to relax until it stops as it's quite debilitating. Anyway, I knew it wasn't going to be a bad recording as for some reason my heart behaved itself throughout the time the recorder was strapped on me. This happened last time actually... and the next day it started to mess about again much more... hah! But I'm not worried and I know it is miles better than pre the ablation - it was dreadful before.. got carted off to A&E twice. So - 5yrs in, the procedure still seems to have worked it's magic - do please tell your hubs that there's every chance it'll be that way for him.. fingers crossed etc. I hope your ENT appointment was OK? x
That is good news that your heart stayed in sinus rhythm for the full 48 hours, and that despite ectopics you are way better than pre ablation. 👍🏻👍🏻 I hope it will be the same for Hubby.🙏🏻
Thanks for asking about my ENT appt. I had a vessel in my nose cauterised so it is still a bit sore as it heals. Stops me poking it where it isn’t wanted! 😂😂 Go back in 2 weeks.
I’ve been having recurring nosebleeds since early March so my Rheumy referred me to ENT in July. Eventually got an appt on the day hubby came home from ablation and friend’s funeral! She said the vessel was bulging badly so it was quite a lengthy cauterisation. Still scabby and sore but still early days so hopefully cured once healed.🙏🏻🙏🏻 I have follow up in 2 weeks. Using aloe Vera as well as the prescribed cream, so healing fast. 🙏🏻
Hoping you are keeping as well as can be? Take care. 🤗😘
Big Big Big Hugs to my Buddy -The Storm and the Sunshine . Hopes and prayers for you the little one . WE went to Different Schools together ,in different grades and Different years and also different states BUT we always thought alike .!!! My Buddy . Hugs to you .
Big but gentle 🤗🤗🤗to u too Spotty. Blooming appts r like buses ain't they? Nothing for ages n then everything comes at once!!
Good luck to hubby with his procedure today n good luck with you're ent appt tomorrow..and I hope your friends funeral goes smoothly ( I never really know what to say in these circumstances)..I'll be thinking of u 🌈😽😽xx
Thank you so much for your kind wishes and thoughts Kat for hubby, me and Mary’s funeral. It is a burial so will all be outdoors so my thermals will have to be taken out of mothballs (what’s that smell?) for the occasion.
I still haven’t heard from hubby whose procedure was meant to be at 7.45 this morning, or at least he was to be prepped at that time, so I’m hoping no news is good news.
Thanks again for your kind wishes as ever Kat and for the hugs - much needed and appreciated. I hope all is well with you and yours.
Love and best wishes to stormy, thinking of her, she knows that👍 And hope she makes a recovery to heSlth that brings her back here to us. Love and best wishes stormy 🙏😘🤗x
You ALL are to kind.Xxxxxxxxx As my world spins down, Spotty, and all of you are there to balance me, slow the spinning, and make my heart, and mind at Peace.. Thank you all for the lovely, caring thoughtful words and ways. My journey in these new conditions and symptoms incomber me, I am never far from remembering all of you in my prayers. A newer condition has made it harder to type, respond, so I am sorry it took me this long to thank everyone. I am here, just hovering and enjoying each of your postings, photos, artworks, new pets, chooks, and loves. My sincere blessings, Peace, and much Love to all. Thestormy sunshine Xxxxxx
Thanks for checking in, Stiff. It went well. I had misunderstood the reason for the six week follow up. The doctor did not request the medication when antibodies came back negative. I had improved a lot in that time - lungs and autonomic stuff, and I may be back to baseline after Covid. He did note in chart that one anti-neuronal antibody was low positive. I’ll ask about that at the next appointment.
Hope you are doing as well as can be. When is your appointment?
I m glad to hear that, 👍 I have to wait , I have just been to have bloods taken again, I went to hospital who sent me to main hospital as said bloods had to be protected from light and I was best to have done at main hospital. It’s the same bloods as last time so when neuro said not done I gather they were no good as last time taken they were not protected from light 🤷♀️ Done now, here’s hoping the bloods themselves shed some light on what’s going on though I do feel better at moment than Have been 🤞xx
Oh, that makes sense. They usually don’t just lose bloods. That sounds like a very sensitive test. Sorry you had to repeat. The results may take a while.
Aww bless ya stormy 🤗 u just make sure u do hover around n enjoy our company as we all know that when our conditions 'play up' it can feel so desolate n lonely..U R NOT ALONE!! 🤗This is what makes us warriors!! I'll post one of my loves for u soon as requested 😜🌈😽😽xx
