This is for Stormy and Misty both of whom recently had operations. Stormy is suffering heart problems and is at present wearing a heart monitor and undergoing further investigations. Misty is in a lot of pain as the anaesthetic has worn off and morphine is needed during the recovery period. Both miss the forum and think of us all. As both love animals here is Murray showing them what to do during their convalescence or investigations.
Take it easy and rest whenever you can, no matter whose chair it is!
With love and healing hugs to them both and to anybody else recovering from an op or illness. π€π€π€πππxxxx

Aww poor darlings. If it's any consolation tell them that I can understand what they are going through having had the heart π monitor and operations hopefully though they haven't had any infernal itching to the point of madness I'm going through. Hmmmm π€π€π€π€π€ maybe I have fleas or mange?ππ΅π΅π€£ππ€£π΅ππ€£ππ. π
So sorry to hear that Boudica. Is it confined to your skin? If so I found camomile tea with honey helped both internally and exteranally and bicarb baths helped to soothe too. I really sympathise with you because I had an extremely itchy rash from head to toe that kept me awake when I was first diagnosed with SLE. Poor you. I hope it eases soon. ππ» Take care. π€ππxx
Hi Spotty-ewe, yes thank goodness the itching is confined to the skin but at times I can itch like crazy in place's with no rash or a single spot. The aches and pains tend to be in the hands and feet or though I do have other places that can and do hurt but with those I can put down to the lungs, the old ticker or the Gastrisis or the diverticular. We have a wet room so can't relax in a bath with anything that may ease it and I've learnt the hard way not to scratch. At least I've got an appointment with the big wig and other's in a combined clinic in a few weeks time but at the moment not sure if they will be all dermatologist's or a mix from other department's. At least the GP is writing to Rheumatology to see what's going on there as I've not heard anything from them in over a year and that was just a video text about there criteria for who they classed should be in shielding based on drugs only. As for anything else I've not heard a peep from them for at least two years but have found out that the specialist rheumy who dealt with Lupus, Sjogren's and some of the Vasculitis diseases has move to another hospital that is out of our local health authority area and there doesn't appear to be anyone else who comes close to his expertise.
Sorry didn't mean to sound like him having a moan or feeling sorry for myself as there are people far worse off than me.
I'll just have to keep singing that song in Jungle book, the one where Baloo is rubbing his back against a tree as I wriggle my back against anything thats handy enough to reach that spot.
Thank you so much EJ. Iβll pass on your very kind thoughts and wishes although I think theyβll read them for themselves. Poor Stormy has had a very long time of extra issues on top of her SLE the most worrying being her heart issues. But Iβm certain theyβll get to the bottom of it in time. Hoping you are keeping okay EJ? Love and hugs to you too ππ€πππ»xxxx
βMy chair! Go sit somewhere else!β Lovely Murray, chilling in the sunshine. Speedy get well wishes to Stormy and Misty, so kind of you to let us know how they are and I hope all these warm replies help them to feel a bit better πΊβ€οΈπΊ
Yep, youβve got him summed up! ππ Iβm sure all these lovely messages will cheer up Misty and Stormy and aid Mistyβs recovery and help remind Stormy we are thinking of her as she recovers from her back op and waits for the results of her heart monitor. ππ» Hoping you are keeping better yourself these days HW? Have you had your vaccines yet? We, being old and decrepit π, had our 2nd vaccine 2 weeks ago so eagerly await next week when full immunisation should be in place so we can cautiously get out and about again.π€ Freeddom!!ππ»ππ» π€πxx
Nothing like kind wishes and positive thoughts from afar to help with the healing process. Iβm alright at the mo Spotty, got some unexplained all over body stiffness and pain, have a Rheumy appt next week & a Neuro one a few weeks after to help fathom it out, but doing usual stuff and able to keep pottering about which is good. Iβve had both jabs so feeling more confident about getting out and about now - and yesss! To new freedoms! Hope you and hubby are feeling ok after your jabs? π€ππ€
So sorry to hear about your inexplicable all over body pain and stiffness HW. Thatβs very draining and you donβt know how to combat it if you donβt know the reason for it. My Rheumy referred me for physio for a similar reason but physio told me they werenβt working at present because they are helping with the vaccine distribution. So Iβve gone private and after 2 sessions since 21st April, and 8 exercises Iβve to do daily to improve my awful balance and my general weakness, I am noticing a difference already including more stiff and sore muscles π . I hope Rheumy and Neuro find the cause of your problem and are able to remedy it. ππ» I also hope your 2nd jab hasnβt affected you like the first one did. π€ We are okay thanks HW - just severe fatigue 24 hours later for 12 hours and nothing much since. Love and hugs and wishing you all the best for your appts with Rheumy and Neuro. Let me know how you get on. ππ€π xx
Thanks Spotty for letting us know about Misty and Storm - what a beautiful pic of Murray - hoping that they make a speedy recovery , lots of love β€οΈ
So pleased you like the photo of Murray SV. He loved his home comforts.π Yes, I hope Misty and Stormy make a good and full recovery from their respective ops. ππ»ππ» Iβve let them know they have some lovely get well wishes here so hopefully theyβll look for themselves just as soon as they are up to it. Love and hugs to you and the girls.ππ€πxx
So pleased you enjoyed seeing Murray relaxing in my chair. I went indoors to make a cuppa and this is what I found when I returned! ππ€£ Yes, I hope he inspires Msty and Stormy to do the same. Hoping you are keeping okay yourself just now Daisyππ» Take care. π€πx
Thanks Spotty - yes indeed, if you donβt know what it is, how best to treat it and manage living with it? Iβm now on heavy duty pain relief so that at least I can keep doing stuff that is normal for me. Not sure whether the stiffness is causing the pain or vice versa? I do Pilates stretches with deep breathing and that seems to help a bit, along with Epsom Salt baths for relaxation. Good old physio - making you feel more stiff and sore! π I suppose itβs βno pain no gainβ in their book! This new set of symptoms came on steadily after the first vaccine at the end of January when I had that nasty reaction so Iβm wondering if itβs connected to that? Well thatβs something for Neuro & Rheumy to scratch their heads over...π¦π¦ Thanks for your kind wishes as ever and glad to hear you and hubby are ok after your jabs. Will keep you posted! Love and hugs π€ππ€
Thatβs no fun needing heavy duty pain relief to function normally. I find Pilates and Yoga both helpful in stretching out things but unless in a class I forget about the breathing. π€ Iβve got a Mindfulness meditation which is good for pain too. You basically focus on the site of the pain and reduce and even remove it. I think thatβs right. It is ages since Iβve done it. But all these natural remedies and practices can help and at least do no harm. I think your stiffness and pain is likely to be connected to your vaccine because I know of another forum member who had a shocking reaction to the first vaccine including pericarditis and pancreatitis and still isnβt right yet. Sheβs refusing to have the second jab and I can understand why. I had blocked ears after my first vaccine and theyβd only just cleared when the 2nd vaccine arrived. Now they are back again so Iβm hoping with time theyβll clear again. But as you say your Neuro and Rheumy can ponder over that. Lovely to have the βchatβ and yes please keep me posted. Take care HW. ππ€πxx
