Yesterday was such a lovely day, the sun was out, the birds were singing, pooches happy, and my husband and I enjoyed the garden with a cheeky drink in the evening for which I am paying the price (I have absolutely no tolerance to alcohol) but there are times when you just have to have a drink to finish off the perfect day.
Throughout the day we have mandarin ducks on our pond and in the garden but at about 7pm they congregate next to the house for a kind of mandarin convention. They get fed and the boys take the opportunity to show off their feathers to the females. It is wonderful to watch and during lockdown they have allowed me to get closer to them.... here are some pictures from yesterday
Have a lovely day all xx

Sounds like a perfect day to me, leuann - sun, showing off birds and a drink. I go in phases. Sometimes I can tolerate alcohol almost like a normal person, sometimes not. But I do love the martini or glass of wine to end the day. You should see the make shift bar around the corner from me. I will try to post a photo. It is very funny to see people gather around, though there is no place to sit.
Shame we can’t add pictures to replies, I have asked admin if they could sort that for us.
As far as alcohol is concerned, I think that I have always struggled with it but it became a no no when I was around 30 just as my lupus really kicked in.
I sometimes have a glass of champagne as I really can’t resist it, as I did on Saturday but I am now in bed feeling unwell from it, but it was worth it 😁😁😁😁
Ahhhh are they lovely.... What a nice day..... Thanks for sharing...
My alcohol days are long gone...amazing you can drink so much before autoimmune & bang autoimmune combined with some aging & drinks are ' off the menu' at least for me.... ml
