Alcohol, some people like a wee tipple, some people don't. Some can't. I did, more than I probably should've when I went to the football with my mates. Now I don't really like it, can't seem to stand the taste. Used to live a wine and a port on a Saturday night now it's juice or hot beverage these days. I can drink vodka or shandy as the sweetness of the juice in it makes it nice. Throw in my dialysis and a fluid restriction and it's really not worth having a drink. I guess it's the kidneys that's caused me to go off the taste of it as when it was just the lupus everything was fine. On a plus point, I've saved a fortune, so every cloud and that.

Well put Sue. I totally agree with all you said.👍🏻

I only have a tiny glass of sparkling wine for a very special occasion like a wedding, milestone birthday etc so once or twice per year, and then I take milk thistle afterwards for a few days to ensure my liver is okay. 🤞 Otherwise total abstinence due to a kidney problem I have.

When we were away in January for our anniversary the hotel offered me a non-alcoholic champers and it was very nice. 😉 I don’t normally drink fizzy drinks either but for a special occasion it was nice and not as harmful as alcohol. I still got merry on the occasion rather than the drink and had a brilliant time.🥳.
