Lumpy lymph nodes

Hi everyone. Looking for reassurance I think. Had swollen lymph nodes in armpit and neck checked out over past 18 months...told nothing to worry about. Noe got a new bigger one in the other armpit on the side I had breast cancer. Assumed they would say the same but had biopsies taken and now waiting for results. I'm a bit un hinged by it. Suppose I am asking how common long standing swollen lymph nodes r with lupus and everyone on here? Thanks

Hi Flueby, I'm sorry to hear that you are going through this. I have persistently raised occipital lymph nodes. I have had bouts of my whole right side being raised including my groin, underarm being red and swollen, and under my chin red and swollen. My arms also swell and don't fit into my sleeves! It is concerning to me also as I have raised CRP, C3 and C4. As you probably know, complement levels are supposed to be low if it is lupus activity... I hope your tests come back with the all clear. Try to do something to take your mind off it until then. Lulu. Xx

Hi, I’m not sure I will reassure you Flueby, but doctors have done the right thing doing a biopsy. I finished treatment for lymphoma in November and was told there is a higher risk when you have lupus or Sjögrens. I have Mctd. I also had night sweats, lost a lot of weight, the usual fatigue which again I thought was an AI problem. My doctor found another lump in my neck on a follow up appointment and I had further X-rays, bloods and another biopsy so I’m waiting again for results. My ct scan in December was excellent so I’m also keeping my fingers crossed but glad the biopsy was done as this is the only way to rule out if it’s lymphoma.

Fingers crossed that it’s nothing xxx

Hello Flueby 💕

I’m not sure I know much about his but I just wanted to put my 5 eggs in. To my mind, they are probably just being safe by taking a biopsy because that is the side you had your cancer on. It’s probably nothing but a precaution the doctor has to take, if that makes sense.

I’m sure you already know this because you’ve been through it, it’s just nice to hear it from some one else sometimes.

I hope everything goes well lovely, please let us know when you get your results 💖🌟
