Contrast with CT Scan

Any of you had contrast in your vein for a CT scan? I had rheumatology appointment on Monday. He did a 2 week referral for a scan as my lymph nodes are swollen, lost weight and night sweats.

Had the scan last night. It really knocked me up which I wasn't expecting. The contrast made me feel sick, dizzy and woozy.

Got home and slept from 8pm throughout the night.

This morning feel, like I've got the flu. Is this just coincidence? X

Hi, I have felt a bit dizzy after having scan with contrast before. I get them fairly regularly so they just tell me to get up slowly and sit before I get off the scan now and that seems to help. I’ve always felt ok next day though, perhaps you should mention to them the next time you have another scan.

I actually passed out the first time I had one. Since then I am sure to sit up slowly and not move off the bed until I am certain that I can stand. I was quite tired afterwards but other than that no ill effects. I hope you feel better soon xx

Hi Bonny

Sorry you feel so bad. Fingers crossed it is improving. I have exactly the same problem with my glands and had a CT last week on Thursday. Ok on Friday then it took me out for all the weekend and Monday. Fingers crossed I feel a little better today. I have ended up increasing my medicines but I was going to have to do that anyway.

Get better soon.
