COPING DAY TO DAY ? ? ?

Hi everyone, just so fed of this today. Since my renal then chest infection cleared up I get 1 good day 1 bad day alternately. Good days are good bad days are really bad and I'm in bed all day. (Swear my hubby thinks I'm putting it on sometimes) Before we moved home I had a hydrotherapy bath that I used to use to ease pains but now I only have shower. I'd like to know how others cope with their bad days SLE RA FIBRO. What eases things for you to be able to cope for some normality of life? Thanks

Hi Bronn, I hope that you're feeling better?

My experience is almost similar. Sometimes I get 2 or 3 good days and then 2 or 3 bad days, just to even things out😁

I rest as much as possible, meditate, do a hot bath or shower. Talk to friends if I'm really feeling crap, pray.

Mostly I try to keep a sense of humor, because I've found that if I don't, my disease (Lupus) can get me really, really down.

All the best. I'm sorry that I couldn't be of more help 🌻

Thanks ChantelF for your reply, think my humour has gotten lost in house move though lol. I do meditate not religious so praying out but each to their own, and my hubby makes sure I rest. Just wish my new gp surgery would stop messing up my prescription 😡 Take care

Hi Bronn,

I'm so sorry you are feeling so bad (although I'm aware your post was awhile ago and I hope you are feeling better now...). I just wanted to say that I fully empathise and appreciate how hard it can be living daily with this horrible condition. I used to love my bath too for easing aches and pains but we moved house as well and it's shower only now too, so my empathy is deeply felt on that one also!!

I find biofreeze, chocolate and my cat are my go to's when I need normalcy or comfort! I hope you have something similar. Furry therapy works wonders sometimes. Sending you a hug. Take care hun xx

Hi jenc, good days, bad days, only the bad days seem to outway the good unfortunately, cannot plan ahead ever 🙁 I hope you're settling in well to your new home. I'm just waiting on some adaptations to be done (ceiling hoists and a few other things) but the red tape means it'll be a while before this bungalow fully adapted ☹️ It'll be great once done and I'll have more independence 😁 oh yes I'm really missing my bath like crazy. Yes I do have something similar to bio freeze (phorpain gel), and I have 2 very furry big dogs. I totally agree furry therapy works wonders. Take care

I really feel for you as I am in a similar boat myself and unable to work now due to my condition and as you rightly say: you just can't plan ahead for anything as you never know from one minute to the next how you are going to feel! I really am sending a huge hug your way. 💜

I hope your adaptations to your bungalow give you the independence you need and deserve and I'm sure your furry babies are on hand to offer out sloppy kisses when needed. (I've got two dogs myself via mum and a dog hug is wonderful!). Take care x

I was supposed to go out Wednsday (yesterday) with my son whose autistic so planning is essential, but couldn't even get iut of bed. Hoping to go out later today 🤞🏻

Sloppy kisses are always in abundance and huge hugs from my softy loveable dogs. Glad you can get the same.

Here most days if you feel down or just need to chat 💛 Take care off to bed now to hopefully and make it out later.

Hi oh well didn't make it out again today 🙁 I really need to go tomorrow but hey who knows maybe I'll make maybe I won't. It's ridiculous that I cannot even plan a few hours out,bad enough that I have to cover up in this heat and avoid the sun as much as possible.

Well I hope today finds you well
