Baby Growing!

Hi all - just a quick update - I posted 2 or 3 weeks ago about my pregnancy worries when I was told my baby had more or less stopped growing. Had a scan yesterday and it showed that (although still small) the baby has grown a significant amount since the last scan:) So hopefully the pregnancy can carry on for a while yet, and we might even avoid a c-section. Am very relieved and happy - although annoyed that the doctors got made me so anxious for the past few weeks for no reason - we were told that it was pretty much impossible for a baby to start growing again! i guess that's the downside of being so closely monitored - probably lots of babies have spurts of growth and then periods of little growth, but most women would be completely unaware of this. Anyway - going to try and enjoy the rest of this pregnancy :) xxx

My baby stopped growing between 28 and 32 weeks. Then he started up again. He emerged at 8lbs 6oz and is now a strapping 32 year old. Xx. Good luck with your pregnancy x

Yes, when I had regular scans the consultant had asked for them weekly but the sonographer refused as they said it could cause these kind of worries and issues and that weekly is too soon to check.

I’m sooooo pleased!! That’s such great news, yes defo try and relax and enjoy!! I know, I think a lot of worry is caused unnecessarily unfortunately.
