Hi everyone - i posted a couple of months ago about my pregnancy and issues with my baby's growth in the womb. The baby has now arrived! She is called Juniper or Juni for short and she was delivered at 34 weeks by c-section. There were issues with my blood pressure and other blood tests and the docs feared pre-eclampsia and also she just wasn't growing... We spent around 3.5 weeks in NICU, mainly because of her size rather than any medical issues - she weighed 1.6kg or 3lbs and 8oz. She's now back home and doing well - we are so smitten with her😀

It’s times like this that as much as the people on this site are all on meds for various illnesses and pain, that when a magical thing that has happened to you makes the world such a better place and how blessed we really are with our family and friends around us! Oh congratulations!! So pleased she arrived safely and thanks for letting us know. What a sweet name - can you post a photo??

Enjoy her, i know it sounds a cliche but it goes by so quickly! My little premature babies (similar weight to Juni but born at 31 weeks) are now 15 and 6 ft 2 😬🙂

Don’t worry if she’s a bit behind with things in the first year, remember she’s actually 6 weeks younger than her ‘age’. Mine were slower with sitting etc but caught up by a year
