day 1 started

Have started my methotrexate today 5 tablets once a week. Will have a folic acid tomorrow . Hopefully wouldn’t get sickness like I did last time !

So I’ve had it before but made me feel sick so stopped it and went on hydroxy so trying it again 🙂

Thanks . I felt sick since the early hours of the morning and still do now. Gone to work see how long I stay . Can’t take folic acid till 24 hours later

Hi Lou , I found stemetil helped for nausea when I started on rituximab infusions. I hope it settles down soon and doesn’t cause problems at work for you xx

Thank I finish on Thursday can’t wait for the break ! I am thinking about changing to injections again if it cuts out the sickness

when on the tablets doctor told me to split the dose, taking 2 after lunch & 3 after dinner this cut the sickness down a lot . perhaps it might be worth you phoning yours & asking if it would be ok for you to do the same. also made a lot of difference what I had for dinner - nothing spicy or to strongly flavoured but found stoggy foods worked best

I’m on methotrexate 4 tablets on a Sunday then take 2 folic acid on a Thursday ...

No problems with side effects, touch wood.

I took 5 , it’s just me feel so sick 🤢 like a constant sickness lingering in my stomach

Hopefully this will settle down for you. I found it took 3 months for the methotrexate to work, however it may work quicker for you. Good luck.
