Hi brothers;
please I'asking wheather there is a hidden type of SLE without the malar rash specially
Hi, for many years I had no rash so my dx was based on one blood test and symptoms at the time my rash came and is now very evident so it came after time !
I have Lupus SLE with no rash
Hi dear...the first symptoms of lupus sle is the butterfly rash..and joints pain...my sister one start like that😳😳😳 but i met a girl at my sister clinic yesterday and i asks her alot of question one of it she never had rash on her skin or face like My sister...and she said that because she got her diagnosed very early before she have breakout from rash
Hi Vodoo ,
Only around one-third of people with SLE will actually present with the classical malar 'butterfly' rash. Therefore, it is not necessary to have this symptom to be diagnosed with lupus.
If you would like more information and advice about getting a diagnosis of lupus, please take a look at our blog article here - lupusuk.org.uk/getting-diag...
Thank you so much Sir. I appreciate your concern. Really I haven't met a single case of SLE throughout my long practice. It does happen. When I heard about the so called; hedden SLE as it was said to me, it sounded strange as if it were; a wound without cutting the skin! Having no rapid references here I preferred to ask colleagues. Thank you so much again for concern
I have SLE lupus (diagnosed in 2014) and do not have the malar rash. I tested positive for lupus autoantibodies (markers). I also have Sjogens Syndrome.
I was DX's last summer/fall at age 62...I had No malar rash...I had chest back lower arms and hand horrible rash.....brought out by the sun...and confirmed with biopsy of my rash then further testing...I actually have Subcutate(sp) Lupus.....because I am as my rheumy said..an old white female my Lupus will most likely be mild...
