😍OMG: I ADORE Ane Brun...her BEAUTIFUL song The Opening (with Fleshquartet) was used as the theme for the best Swedish Wallander True Detective series (in this video clip we see him facing up to his Alzheimer's with The Opening playing): m.youtube.com/watch?v=UGsss... The Opening has always seemed to me a metaphor for life with lupus (& other chronic illnesses)...but I had no idea she has lupus💡💡💡💡...THANKS SO MUCH: great interview 👏👏👏

PS here are the lyrics of The Opening:
When there’s so much darkness closing in
Just swerve around slowly
You’ll find an opening
A light will appear like an animal between the trees
There you’ll find your pocket of peace
Make a perfect circle, it’s all around you
Put your mark on the map anywhere or nowhere
It’s up to you it’s not too late to find an opening
Trace a track until you find the end
There’s a clearing in every forest, at least one for every man
The light will appear like an animal between the trees
There you’ll find your pocket of peace
Make a perfect circle it’s all around you
You know that everything lingers for you to follow through
||: It’s up to you
It’s not too late to find an opening
Do you wanna rediscover or do want it all to be over
Do you want to see the meaning of the circleing?
I have to confess - I had never heard of her. But the interview is lovely.
Yes it really is! I'd never heard of her till I fell in love with The Opening and searched it out online...discovering her in the process...all her lyrics seem wonderful to me (well, everything I've heard do far of hers)....now I feel her work generally reflects her experience of lupus & attitude to life...have just ordered the 2015 album that's featured in this interview...you're a ⭐️: so glad of your post 💐💐💐💐
Wow I had no idea that she sung that amazing song or that she had Lupus! Thanks so much Pro and Coco - very inspiring on all fronts. And of course the late Henning Mankell's Wallander is uniquely a series of stories that have chronic illness underlying them all. So that's some powerful pairing. X
Really enjoyed her music thanks for sharing it.😄 ml
Love her attitude of no longer being afraid of the disease. Still grappling with that one, but it does force you to reassess your life and priorities.
Thanks, coco,
I had no idea that they had filmed me during one of my more typical nights to make this video

Maybe I should ask for royalties?
