Hi have you had your vit D checked I am also on folic acid my hair was so bad this time last year I looked awful , I saw a dermatologist and he told me if the vit D and folic acid didn't work the only option I had was a hair transplant, but the vit D had worked apparently I was suffering from malnutrition due to mucus build up in my stomach!

Good luck !

Hugs

Vitamin D , sorry I forget I have been at this for 3 /4 years now , your knowledge will grow in leaps and bounds , I now have a diary which I keep to discuss with my GP , I read doctors don't like lists but because my body is challenge to say the least remembering everything is a challenge in itself , my GP has said everything I discuss with him is relevant and reliable and it works for him , I do read a lot about our conditions and I find knowledge is such a help it stops things being so scary and I cope better !

Good luck

Hugs

Hi christinehargreaves ,

We have a blog article about hair loss in lupus which has loads of tips from people living with the condition. You can read it at lupusuk.org.uk/coping-with-...

Thank you I have just joined and feel good already as doctors don't know anything about lupus.

I have dread locks. They are strong. I have a little patch gone and the edges of my hair. But my beautiful dreads are stronger than lupus

Mine is awful too - I use Vit D spray and will try the folic acid ! I found a fabulous mousse which makes it feel and look thicker- Redken - Full Effect 04 - hairdresser says it is growing back - so don't give up hope - patience with this awful condition. Good luck
