sorry to hear what a frustrating time you are having..but please consider seeing a doctor...Bactrim antibiotic is a sulfa antibiotic and they are can cause lupus flares. There is probably a different antibiotic that you could use. I wish you well.

I use tramadol for joint pain but mine comes from osteoarthritis and as you say it makes you feel sick. I can only take one at a time with 2 paracetamols if the pains persistent. You can get anti nausea pills, my gp prescribed Cyclizine to take with tramadol and they worked very well. Might be worth you asking about them

Juliet....I was passing a stone 18 years ago. Went to er because i was in so much pain... Passed stone i believe in er bathroom.....they only gave me an antibiotic and sent me on my way. Saying I had just a Uti. Meanwhile, i could not go to the bathroom, was in tremendous pain. I hate hospitals and drs sometimes! They made me feel like i was overeacting. And toilet was full of blood after i finally was able to go. They didnt believe me or listen to me. I was shaking for 4 hrs in the waiting room with pain. If I was a man, they would have helped immediately. I know because This happened to my boyfriend who was passing a stone once.

I believe beets help with stones.

Nefapam might work better with less side effects as an analgesic than Tramadol (which gave me stroke like episodes) - it's designed for people with kidney disease I believe.
