Hi my name is paula im 46 and nearly 4 years ago i came out in a rash on my back chest and across my cheeks and nose also on my head gp said lupus then did biopsy and said lichen planus. My face rash is the same 4 years on back scared hair loss and my face is covered. I now inject methatrexate but which do i have ?

Diagnosing always throws the gps. I have lupus and aps. Myupus is very painful because of arthritis in all.my joints hair loss nasty red sore face and a host of other things. Take someone wigh you when your nxt appolntment as back up and ask for bloodtests to rule out lupus.

Hi diane thanks for reply. I have blood tests every few weeks due to injecting methatrexate but nothing said only kidneys and liver ok. I am in so much pain i take dihydracodine which isnt helping pain at all. I think i av lupus as rash across my cheeks have been constant for 4 years now and im so tired it gets me down. X

Have they ever taken a ANA blood test ?

Hi Dmillett im not sure what test they do on a month basis iv just ad 1 done last week which is checking osteoporosis and vit d. Will ANA state yes or no for lupus ?
