Lupus worse in winter?
I saw my rheumatologist a couple of weeks ago and he said it can deffinatly get slit worse over winter/Christmas also because we are very busy around this time. He has given me his email address and I'm to email brining of December and he will arrange for steroid injection to help get me through it. Hope you don't start to feel too bad over this time x
Mine was worse in winter for many many years then about 5 years ago, it swung around and is at its worst from the first 'proper' sunshine in about April until September. Having said that, it still reserves the right to do exactly as it pleases at any given time! Certainly extra stress can trigger flares and a busier pace of life can make them harder to absorb. Take care x
I wonder if low vitamin D has something to do with it? My vitamin D levels were very low and I have been feeling much better since I started taking the tablets my GP prescribed. It's worth checking.
It Defo get worse during winter joints ake more during this time, hope it's not to bad
this is so interesting....was only diagnosed a couple of years ago but I'm feeling so much worse already this winter with awful joint and muscle pains. was wondering whether the time of year was a contributing factor. I'd assumed symptoms would be worse in the summer due to the sun but maybe that's not so!!! Will invest in some vit D tablets to see if they help!
im worse in the summer, the heat really makes my lupus angry. I cope a lot better when the temp drops. although I have joint pain I don't have what the summer gives me on top.
my younger sis has lupus aswell and she loves the summer and hates the winter! so I think it depends on our bodies really.
hugs, cc x
