Hi I thought that I would do an update on how things are going as its awhile since I posted and I have now been Living with farrow wraps for what must be 18 months maybe longer.
I was extremely let down by the north wales lymphodemia NHS clinic, who basically said farrow wraps are no good, well they where very wrong, and thankfully my own doctor was very supportive and along with our own community district nurses I was and still am supplied every three months with farrow wrap, which I wear all day every day, and they are great. Before farrow wraps my legs were 34 inch around each one, I found walking extremely difficult, and on top of this there are the side issues that come with having lymphoedema I.e. Anxiety attacks, phobia about leaving the house and panic attacks and even though the farrow wraps are doing a brilliant job at keeping my legs slim the other issues are still embedded and as bad as ever, if I had known about farrow wraps earlier how much different might my life be, are local NHS clinic were aware of them but had made the decision they were no good, how very wrong that is. I could not have the multi layer bandaging as I could not travel the 2-3 hour journey each way to the clinic, by the time I got home the bandages were falling off, and the prevented me from having freedom to move about. After seeing they results of my legs my doctor now has one or two other patient using them, that brilliant! I still have issue and other health problems to deal with but farrow wraps have given me a means of managing one of them successfully. Thanks for listening, hope you all have a great day.
Paul.

So pleased that you have found something which works for you. I hope that the clinic have been informed that the farrow wraps can work. You must have a good GP.
Hi Chrissie2 yes I have a very understanding team of doctors, just a shame the professionals at the clinic are not so supportive. I just think of all the others that perhaps could benefit from farrow wraps and are being told they do not work,
I know that they won't be right
for everyone but they will be right for many. Thanks for your reply.
Hi, I have primary LE in both legs and use the farrowraps too. The foot and lower leg part of the wrap are brilliantm however the knee and thigh pieces are very poor design for walking, so I have given up wearing them unless I'm horizontal. I am waiting for my prescription for the new Haddenham wraps which they have brought out and are said to be the best design and compression for wearing when vertical.
So many people around the world wear farrowraps to control their LE with great success - I can't believe your LE clinic rubbished them!! They clearly don't know what they are talking about!! They would benefit from hearing your positive feed back!
The lower leg and upper thigh are straight forward however the knee system is a poor design (unless remaining horizontal) as they slip down. There is a Jobst Farrow wrap donning video...need to find it again. I initially found it by googling
