Good evening everyone I have anxiety bad I was on sertraline 50mg and i stop taking them because I felt like it was making it worse anybody else just stop taking their meds

Welcome . I can only remember once going on a new med & quickly stopping as I didn’t feel right. I would always consult my psychiatrist/doctor first before stopping any med abruptly. There are many options for meds out there so don’t get discouraged.Hope you are feeling better.
Increases Anxiety is a side effect of sertraline when first starting, mine went thru the roof the first few weeks but it settled. You should speak to prescriber before stopping medication really as can have an effect on you if you stop cold turkey. Sertraline has helped my anxiety and depression x
