It seems that everyone has their cross to bear. In this case it would be anxiety.....anxiety of every type and cause. Original diagnosis was OCD, then also GAD. Tourette's Syndrome was also diagnosed but not as severe as the anxiety. It seems to be under control more now, but the head pressure, the pain and stiffness in my neck seem to be a residual effect of many years of untreated or under treated anxiety. Am new here so I will stop here for now.....blessings jim

The wrath of anxiety....
Hi jim
Welcome on the forum...
Yes we all bear our cross daily and some days are good but the bad days are REALLY bad days. I speak for myself when I say anxiety has really changed my life and the way I perceive it on a daily basis. I have learned so much about anxiety in my 5 years off struggling with it and have tried every herbal treatment I think lol. This forum helps me daily just to understand more of the ways anxiety effects other people with anxiety and actually makes me grateful to know that I still have a life. Hope you find what your looking for on this forum whether it be answers or just support.
I pray for you Jim.
God blessxxx
Thank you......I hesitate to share the spiritual approach....(I have published a book called Wind Chimes - the simplicity of Being) to anxiety....but certain practices have definitely helped...Perhaps, sometime after I get the hang of this forum....I will......Thank you Antianxiety <3 blessings
L am actually trying gaba now but I have anxiety over taking any pills aswell .....lol its crazy. I purchase any medication I think will help with anxiety but than i have a hard time just taking them....so ya that's another symptom on its own.. I have heard that gaba and l-theanine works well together if I can just get over this anxiety of meds
I think it may help if you realize those meds are natural supplements and the GABA is a brain chemical already present. the L-theanine is in green tea....and neither is addicting so you need not worry about that....but the fear, I understand.....even if we realize that it may not have any merit....the fear remains.......best of luck to you....
Hello
Welcome
Anxiety is the general all round word used when we have anxiety but anxiety comes in all different forms ocd been one as well as GAD which really the GAD covers most kinds of anxiety symptoms we can get , I think it can be really confusing though when they throw so many words at us to describe our symptoms but they all are a part of anxiety
Our muscles get so tense when we are walking around so anxious and sometimes we are tense when we feel we are ok and this can cause a lot of the pains you are feeling
Have you been given any help from your Doctor , therapy maybe ?
Things will slowly improve but we do need all the support as well as asking for support we can get , keep talking on here as well as on Anxiety Support which is another Community on Health Unlocked and I am sure you will relate to others as well as others will relate to you to and knowing you are not alone helps even if in a small way

Thank you Bounce for your reply....yes have tried numerous remedies over the long haul. Seem to have been prescribed benzo's for over two decades and can't seem to get off the drug.....I am the text book definition of a drug addict....legally...lol....but heat, GABA (pharma) and L-theanine, an amino acid does help a great deal. Also low dose melatonin helps with anxiety....note that I am not advocating anything, just sharing that which seems to help. Again, will try to keep post brief, as I am new here....blessings
