Restless Legs syndrome

I have suffered from RLS for 25 years up until 4 years ago the only relief from the pain was to have an extremely hot bath which seemed to stop the pain for 5-20 minutes letting me get to sleep over the years this does not work the way it used to.

Four years ago my GP asked me if I would like to try a small dose of ropinrole 0.5mg when the dose was increased to 2 mg slow release this suppressed the pain and enabled me to get some. i am now taking 4mg but some nights the pain is unbearable it’s like an electric current going through your legs.

The ropinrole suppress the pain but both legs still have involuntary movements throughout the night and wake me up. Most nights my partner has to move to the spare room as unfortunately I end up kicking her through the night.
