Right this is so weird I get my anxiety when I'm happy or busy like riding my bike I'll get chest pains and arm pain or when I'm lifting weights or boxes as I do in work then my jaw starts to hurt I've had blood tests , ecg , a heart echo , and a ct scan on my lungs but all come back normal and doctors say anxiety and also most of the time about 90% of the time I can't take a deep breath but it's weird most of my anziety happens when I'm busy or exercising??? I thought that makes it better??? I thought at first it was angina but apparently anxiety can mimic that and I've gone soo sooo long without seeing a doctor it's getting abit better I guess please can this be anxiety?? 😩Thanks for reaponding if you do

It's anxiety! I know how hard it is to believe doctors when they tell you you're fine but the know what they're doing! Anxiety takes on so many forms and in my opinion has more symptoms than any other "disease". Just the increased heart rate from working could trigger the anxiety because your body might be so sensitized it throws itself into fight or flight mode just like that. I've had it happen to me before while at the gym, and one time I one a few hundred dollars on a slot machine I got so excited I had a panic attack lol. I'm on the same boat with feeling like you cant take a deep breath and in mt experience it's due to muscle tension and overthinking the breathing process as well. When you're anxious you're supposed to focus on the exhale, not the inhale! I made the mistake of worrying about my inhales for the longest time. I can tell you more about how that works if you want but I hope this info helps!

So even the arm and chest pain when exercising is normal for anxiety

in reply to anxietymadman123

That too. It's a combo of muscle tension and the fight or flight mode

The arm and chest pain when exercising, do you not consider that it might be muscle strain, maybe you have bad technique when you are lifting and you need to warm up and cool down better before and after each session. Get a instructor to check your lifting techniques, plus look into stretches for the whole body but especially the arms, chest and scm muscles. You might need to lighten the weights for a while too.

Omgoodness I know how you feel! I feel some anxiety most of the time but when I try to exercise or go out dancing my muscle tension goes to another level in midback and gives me restriction and feel like I can’t take deep breaths and scares me. I’ve had emotional stress from close family and chiropractor helps loosen some what but not to normal level. I just wonder since I’ve been under stress and had anxiety for so long my muscles don’t know how to relax fully. It’s frustrating as I eat very healthy and drink clean water only usually. I sleep good which I’m thankful for but now I have exercise Anxiety.
