Hi again everyone, today I went to St Mary's hospital to discuss treatment for my Lupus Anticoagulant in future pregnancies. I learnt a great deal. Lupus Anticoagulant specifically effects implantation of a fertilised egg and effects the development of the placenta. (These antibodies are horrid I just visualise them as little monsters in my blood stream) the first 12-16 weeks are critical. I have a slightly underactive thyroid so I'm going to now try high dose folic acid pre conception as well as after plus low level thyroxine, aspirin and heparin. I had another blood test to determine how much aspirin I need. We were told to just keep on trying, the consultant was hopeful so MASSIVE fingers crossed!
