Today, I had something a little different for lunch as a change compared to what I usually have planned for a Saturday. I had: 1 gluten free plain bagel with margarine, 5 pieces of herring in wine sauce, Greek strained nonfat peach yogurt and diet lemon iced tea The entire meal was 62 total carbs.. Everything was very good.
After 1 hour, I had done some exercise using my stationary bike for 15 minutes. This is the second time so far this week that I had done exercise using the stationary bike in the afternoons.

Hi Leah, herring in wine sauce sounds quite exotic and beats anything I ate today for novelty! An all round interesting and tasty meal.
Thank you, Sue. It's been a while since we've had herring with a meal. Usually, we have it just for holiday celebrations. My parents surprised me with it when we were getting ready for lunch, today. Really enjoyed it!
We have one holiday we're having where you sit outside and eat under a manmade 'shelter-like' area for a week. You eat nuts and other items that represent the change of seasons/weather. You can also have herring or other items with the nuts as a small snack.
Hi Leah,Your meal sounds great, and especially the herring - I've not had any herring for a long time, nice to be reminded of it. Well done on your bike too.
Yes, I really like having herring with my lunch now and then. I actually like both types-- wine sauce and cream sauce. Each type is 5 pieces and low carb.. They go well with bagels on the side, too.
Yes, I just got done with riding my stationary bike for the day/afternoon today. Went another 3 miles. I positioned the bike to face the back door to the yard and I get a great view with some stone-like steps so they look like a sidewalk/street.
Thank you, MaCherie112 . I like herring when it’s possible to have it as a side dish or main part of the meal. My favorite is the wine sauce version, but I will have both if it’s available, too.😀👍
