Ways to increase Omega 3 , 6 And vitamin K

I have been on a journey to cure fibroid, excruciating menstrual cramps, too much menstrual blood loss and fatigue for 2 years. I suspect the root cause is hormonal.

Anyway I did some research and lack of omega 3, 6 and vitamin k can cause the issues I'm dealing with. Does anyone have similar issues and what helped?

i do smoothies, supplements and powders already.

Thanks

You probably don't need any Omega-6. We are swamped in O-6 from all the vegetable oils and prepared foods, especially anything fried in vegetable oil.

Sign up for emails from: Vital Choice Wild Seafood & Organics vitalchoice@wild.vitalchoice.com

They sell fish products but you don't need to buy from them, just read the articles they post as it is the latest research on Omega-3 and other nutrition news. This site was recommended to me by Capt. Joseph Hibbeln, the top research scientist in the US and maybe the world. google Hibbeln for his research reports on the benefits of increasing your Omega-3 consumption. Read the history on the mercury scare and over-reaction to the discovery of mercury in fish. It turns out that fish also contain Selenium an if the Selenium is greater than the mercury, it cancels out any negative effect. Even without the Selenium effect though, the benefit of the Omega-3 provides far more protection against many negative health impacts compared to the very tiny potential damage from mercury, which was overblown in the 1960s.

Salmon and albacore (most tuna is albacore) are the best sources. tuna with a little bit of mayo is more acceptable to many people and kids. Mayo with olive oil is good. Olive Oil is a big part of the healthy Mediterranean Diet.

Olive oil provides the other Omega that is very good for you - Omega-9. It is not that the Omegas are always "good" and "bad," it is the balance among them. Because we get so much Omega-6, it causes inflammation, which research is revealing to be causing many ailments in the body. O3 and O9 reduce inflammation among other good things.

In fact, the latest research is showing that Omega-3 deficiency may be more important than the saturated fats that we have been warned about.

The Hibbeln research is top-notch and filled with scientific terminology.

The articles that Vital Source have on their site are the best from the media resources that are easier to understand.

Simple story: eat fish twice a week and don't fry it. Use Olive Oil whenever possible in your cooking and menus.

Most get too many Omega 6 form corn products and animals that only eat 6.

I eat a lot of Flaxseed and Chia seed. Krill oil is another way to get Omega 3.

Best potassium comes from sweet potatoes, spinach and other vegetables and is better absorbed than from supplements.

Hi,

I’ve fot a brain injury and a common after affect with BI is fatigue.

My main operations took place while I was in school and those were the times when I used to get fatigued pretty easily.

In 2000 I went to college and homework was pretty much piled onto me and at the end of the day I would be exhausted.

I don’t get so fatigued no more.

I know I don’t have a job (cos I am unfit to get a job) and I am not at school or college now so I don’t get pressured with work.

The way I think of it, people shouldn’t be pressured with work brain injured or not.

But I have swapped my diet around for the better. I eat more plant-based food now. Smaller amounts of meat and low amounts of sugar (especially refined sugar).

I also inhale frankincense essential oil and I find all this has helped a lot with fatigue.

None of it is hormonal, it’s all to do with vitamins and minerals but not enough people know this.

I have spirulina tablets which are a great source of omega 3 + 6.

People think you get omega 3 from fish (hence cod liver oil).

This is a lie. You do not need to eat fish for omega 3.

Skip the middleman and go after what the fish eat... algae AKA spirulina or chlorophyll.

Vitamin K comes from leafy greens such as kale and also the leaves of the moringa tree. You can buy packets of moringa extract powder.
