Dear All...Don't I always say that?,
Myself, and my Mother, were went to some friends- that we hadn't see for ages- for dinner, yesterday. My Mother is a Celiac, allergic to BOTH Wheat & Gluten (along with a few Combinations). NOT a Problem at all, our Friends Daughter is also a Celiac- without the Complications.
We had Gluten Free sausages, actually very good- Mash 'Done' with Lactose Free milk, better than I imagined- along with Carrots & Peas. Dessert was a selection of cakes, with Gluten Free ones for my Mum.
We then went into their Living Room and watched a Film. I can't remember the name but, it was a Comedy. Basically a Corporation closes down a Family Business, leaving everybody unemployed. The Manager, who you assume to be a Founder, Promises 'Everyone' that he will Sort This Out. He travels to France, where the Equity Company is based and, after a while gets to meet the Boss. This Boss is a Young, Money grabbing, Uncaring Sort, who couldn't care Tuppence about the Man's Company- OK 'Revenge' or, at least, our Money Back then! There then followed a hilarious romp involving, breaking and entering, car chases, theft of a diamond and other similar shenanigans. Meantime Him, and Her, rekindle there Marriage....Well it did have Celia Imrie (I don't think that's right?) in it!
In all a Very Good time and a good 'catch up', with friends, too. Just thought that I'd share this, on such a Nasty day.
