Omg! Work made my willpower wilt today!

Luckily for me I am mostly in maintenance of my weight but I am still trying to be mindful! But today work was just crazy!

First... There was a tub of celebrations open for all! I had one. Then a box of 'chocolate biscuits' appeared which had kitkats, breakaways and club type chocolate biscuit bars. I resisted those lol.

THEN at lunch two of my favourite desserts! Chocolate bread and butter pudding with chocolate custard or pear (tinned) with chocolate custard! Aghhh! I had a very small amount of the bread and butter pudding. About three teaspoons. Was that it? NOOOO!

Someone brought in a GIANT chocolate fudge cake. Not a shop size one. This was huge! And it was sliced up and offered to staff!

I avoided it! But people kept saying go on go on, have some and one person sliced off a small piece about 5cm wide, which I ate!

I know it won't do me no harm! I know I will be fine. But I seriously felt fat going home lol. And was a little worried about how easy it is to start saying yes to things once you are not trying to lose weight anymore? Just proves how slippery the road is even once you reach your target!! I am certainly going to be more careful the rest of the week!

What a day CrimsonMama . The sweet stuff just kept coming at you. You did well to resist some and have tiny slices of others. It isn’t always easy, especially in the moment. My office is exactly the same time and sometimes I wonder if sharing the sweets and chocolates is also a way to bond? I often feel bad when saying no, as if I’ve said no to being a part of something. Also I find it’s so easy to have one sweet thing here and another there and soon right off the day because you are on a path. All part of the journey I guess. Taking each day as it comes. Tomorrow is a new day!

It is sometimes difficult to SAY NO.

It may be even more difficult to THINK NO.

But life is like that, we sometimes say yes, and it feels sooo good that it can outdo the benefits of the NOs.

Hi CrimsonMama

Wow, so many temptations and challenges abounded in your working day yesterday! Whilst your will-power wilted a little, I can tell you stayed strong and you've come through it all - and you're ok. Phew! Whilst that road might be a little slippery, you can put things in place to ensure you're on track and stick to your target. You've got this!

Wishing you the best to negotiate the week ahead.

Zest :-)

What an awesome job to over those hurrdles. They will face you but you met the challenge only a few nibbles. The nibbles remind us we are huma, just stay on your program do not beat yourself up. Share as you have for support. When in doubt go to the group! Everyone has days.

Maybe the up coming be easier!
