Hi everyone,

Here's my lunch today as I made a large loaf and 3 rolls earlier this is made with 1/2 and 1/2 gluten free white and brown bread mix from the supermarket. I always add seeds and topped with sesame pumpkin and golden linseeds.

I had it with some very strong farmhouse cheese with mixed salad of lettuce grated carrots sliced peppers and I had a little yeast extract with mayo. I can't eat marmite so have to have a gluten free alternative and think it's interesting the combinations some of us like.

The cucumber is grown locally and they are delish and only 50p I love home grown food...😊

Enjoy your weekend now folks.

Can't beat itπŸ˜€

The bread looks fab!

Last time I had a sandwich, it was at an airport and sadly the bread looked nothing like yours :( The filling and the taste were not great either.

Yours on the other hand looks scrummy! :)

That looks lovely Jerry, That Gluten Free Roll is so professional and those tomatoes are looking really red, being the animal that I am I would probably add some vegan mayo as well πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Thank you Debs, I do buy vegan mayo too πŸ˜€

That looks great! I really like cucumber but fresh from the greenhouse is best! Tomatoes πŸ… - when I was a child I was at a friend’s house, it was a hot day, we were in the garden, her Mum came round with a basket of what I thought were plums, I took one gratefully and bit into it expecting the sweet juices...I was shocked, it was a sour tomato, strangely from that day I have not been able to eat fresh tomatoes. I love tomato soup, tinned tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato based dishes, passata, purΓ©e, sun dried, but have been unable to eat fresh. My salads have always been lacking, tomatoes look so good and inviting on a salad. Only last week I bought a punnet of mixed colour tomatoes and I have discovered I can now eat the yellow, orange and dark red onesif I cut them up small, something I’m really happy about! - it’s only taken about 50 years!!

Thank you Caz28 thats really interesting and may be you want to try eating tomatoes in the dark...I love tomatoes and am going to pick my first crop of baby tomatoes this morning. 😊

Hi, love the look of your bun πŸ™„πŸ™„ but how many carbs , I’m working on dropping carbs in my diet.πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

Thank you Vacyone I'm sorry but I don't have to count carbs all so all I can say is the rolls weigh 75/80g and this is the flour mix: flour blend (rice, tapioca, potato, gram, buckwheat, carob), sugar beet fibre.

Jerry 😊

Hi Jerry, That looks great, could you forward the recipe of the gluten free bun? Would make a nice addition to my lunch for work, and some people jealous :)
