In my opinion, you can change your diet. This is tough, but I can not articulate how important this is. We are what we eat and I have learned over time that it affects everything with MS. I can recommend three cookbooks; Runners World Cookbook, Mediterranean Diet Cookbook there a bunch to choose from in the American Heart Association Cookbook. When you change your diet, good things start to happen, but it is very difficult to get into the routine. I believe it does help slow the progression of MS dramatically.
Hey, welcome. Hope you find some helpful tips and recipes
Hi Oat-7, when I first came here it was for weight loss, the reason that I needed to change my diet. I thought that I had been eating healthily following a low fat regime, and couldn’t understand why my weight had increased so much. What helped me to change to a healthier way of eating was understanding the effect of eating modern processed foods instead of more fresh produce. I watched a series of videos online by Dr Robert Lustig, “The Skinny on Obesity” and that was my first step towards researching a healthier diet. Good luck.
