My partner and I have moved into our first house recently, and she's a vegetarian which means, at home, I'm a vegetarian a lot of the time, too!
I enjoy cooking, so I've taken it on as a challenge. Being an established omnivore, most of my meals do/did consist of some sort of meat, so I needed to expand my horizons.
I got this cookbook recently 'The Vegetarian Athlete's Cookbook' (amazon.co.uk/Vegetarian-Ath... and I can't recommend it enough.
So, if you're the sporty type looking for vegetarian recipes, I would definitely recommend this book
Cheers,
Chris

Thanks for the recommendation. I've taken a look at it on Amazon and it looks worth getting (although I can't pretend to be sporty in any way!) Another book you might find useful is 'The Flexible Vegetarian' by Jo Pratt (isbn 9780711239043). The recipes are useful and are all vegetarian, but with ideas at the corner of the page for omnivore variations.
I love recipes, and I love recipes with a lot of beautiful vegetables. I especially love soups that are vegetarian, the creamy bisque type soups, lentil soups, etc.
I think if something tastes good, it's wonderful. I am not a vegetarian, but I would enjoy eating as a vegetarian. I actually have several good recipe books for eating raw and vegan as well as vegetarian. The recipes are amazing! I hope you are enjoying them!
I love this cookery book, I have had it for a while, and I made a recipe from it - which is called "Sweet Potato & Chickpea Curry with Cashew Nuts" - and I remember it was delicious.
Thank you for reminding me of this great book - I love Anita Bean's recipes - and I have also got a copy of one of her other books which is called 'Food for Fitness' - also really good, in my opinion.
Hello. To be honest we are ALL vegetarians, it's just some of us eat meat, also. I have never met anyone that only, exclusively, eats meat or fish, unless they are Inuit maybe, or living in extreme conditions and cannot grow or forage vegetables. I'm a firm believer that people don't become vegetarian, but they actually exclude meat from their diet. I think that is a better way of looking at it?
