Hi folks,
There where newspaper articles on the first of January saying how supermarkets are cashing in on this for 2018. So as we have vegan members I thought I'd post a link to the Veganuary site:
A vegan diet based on whole foods can be a very healthy diet, I see it as a political and ethical choice but don't want to get into the politics of food here.
A vegan could also eat chips and crisps and be unhealthy so I think its important to differentiate here as we are interested in the healthy eating aspect.
And here's an article in the Metro:
metro.co.uk/2018/01/01/vega...
I'm not a vegan but want to support the healthy eating ones and I'd like to point out that no one mentioned vegan awareness day on the 1st November last year and the same went for vegetarian awareness day on the 1st September. So its up to you as members to rectify this I think. My only comment towards promoting Veganism is please remember it isn't for everyone so lets keep off the cliches and instead see it as raising awareness so we can learn more about it and vegans can have their say.
Here's a photo of some veg I bought for tea tonight as it shows that at the heart of most healthy meals is a good selection of veg...
