I'm new to this community. I've been unwell for the last 5 months with stomach pain, nausea & digestion issues & have lost 20 kilos due to not being able to stomach much food. I'm on a mission to find the reason behind all of these problems. I believe food plays a huge part in our health & can be very healing. As I discover new information I will share it with you. I like to cook (when I can eat!) Paleo, Vegetarian, Vegan, Raw, clean eating & general healthy eating recipes & look forward to sharing recipes with you. πŸπŸ‹πŸŠπŸŒπŸ‰πŸ‡πŸ“πŸˆπŸ’πŸ‘πŸ

Hi Cath,

Make an appointment to see your Dr. I had similar problems last year. I thought it was a stomach bug, but it turned out to be Crohn's Disease. I agree that we are what we eat, up to a point, but you should still get it checked out.

Thanks amycat. I am under the care of a doctor & I am also seeing a couple of Specialists trying to figure it all out. I'll read up on Crohn's Disease as I don't know much about it. Definitely something going on. 😊

Hi Cath, have you had any scans? I am on medication now to control the crohn's but I am also trying to cut out processed food and to eat as naturally as possible and I'm hoping this will help. Good luck with your diagnosis.

Hi, yes I've had ultrasounds, CT scans with dye, an MRI, blood tests, urine samples taken, a colonoscopy & gastroscopy (not sure how to spell). They have found a fatty liver & gallstones. I have had my gallbladder removed but symptoms persist. I was diagnosed with endometriosis 20 years ago but haven't had symptoms since treatment back then. I'm wondering now if it could be related to that. Have a couple appointments next week - I'll let you know how I go. 😊

Good Luck Cath. I know someone who had similar problems after a gall bladder removal. I think they are still trying to get to the bottom of that one too.

I am just not an expert. For digestive issues there is a simple rceipe 'kanji' a fermented indian drink. But as i said its just simple helpful drink and you may want to try it. Everyone can make at homr see youtube etc.. might be 5$ expense and some homework.

Second is try pranayam. Irs ancient indian system of breathing excercise. Dont overdo and start with little and slowly increase stop if u feel very bad.

I wud suggest kapal bhati n anulom vilom two exercises for u. I have PERSONALLY known almodt bedridden 45yr old lady recover when her issue wasnt solved at topmost doctors in india.

Again i am just a common man like you. Breathing exercise cant do any harm i feel so worth trying. Again start with 5 10minutes and increase to an hour daily till u are comfortavle. Dont stop any other treatment. I have seen in camps people cured of all sort of iasues and so it works in lots of cases but not in all cases. So wortg trying. Let meknow if i can be of any help.

Hi Venusdesi, thank you for your reply. I have definitely heard the benefits of fermented drinks but haven't heard of this particular one. I will definitely look into it. Since becoming unwell I have changed my whole diet. I will also look into the breathing technique you mentioned & the exercises. I would like to improve things naturally as much as I can. When the pain is bad it is hard to do breathing & physical exercise but I will try it when the pain has eased. Thank you so much. 😊

Same symptoms and I have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease too!! Only my bowel perforated and I had emergency operation resulting in colostomy bag, then they said it was Crohn's and not gastritis as they said originally.

Angep how long did they take to figure out it was Crohn's? I ended up in emergency because of pain twice last week. I have an appointment with the Gastro/Stomach Specialist today & I am hoping he might have some ideas. I have had a look at the symptoms of Crohn's & I do have most of them but instead of diarrhoea I am constipated. I also haven't been vomiting, but I haven't ever been one to vomit - just lots of nausea. Sorry to hear about your bowel.

Hi Cath, they didn't realise till after my operation! The surgeon told me he removed an abcess the size of a rugby ball from my bowel, Sounds impossible but that's what he told me. They sent things off to the Lab to be tested after my operation as they weren't sure what caused it. They came back with Crohn's. I myself only had diahoreah once!! Mine was nausea, retching and vomiting. I was given 40 mg of omeprazole by my GP, this stopped my nausea. Had a gastroscopy and was then given 80mg of omeprazole this was to treat gastritis. However I ended up in A and E 4 weeks later with a perforated bowel.my colostomy bag is reversible. The main thing for you is your seeing a gastro specialist so hopefully you will find out soon what is causing your symptoms. Good luck with your appointment πŸ˜€πŸ‘
