Hi folks,
Years ago when I started reading more about the benefits of natural foods, I briefly read about calcium and how you can regrow teeth. By grinding eggshells into a fine powder and adding a teaspoon, or whatever, to a smoothie or garnishing a salad with it can boost the intake of calcium.
Doctors, tv, schools and other sources tell you to drink milk (cow’s milk) in order to have healthy teeth and bones but most of that is rubbish or a not-so-great way to get calcium.
It is true that calcium can benefit teeth and bones but there is not enough calcium to do so in cow’s milk. Broccoli has more calcium in it. Other things have more calcium in them. Seed/grains, dark greens... etc.
At the moment I am adding Moringa to my home made smoothies as Moringa is rich in calcium.
Anyway, I have a slight right-sided paralysis (weakness in one side) because of my brain injury.
From 1996 I could hardly taste anything on the right. Teeth are weaker on the right and I am dryer on the right/don’t salivate as good on the right.
So for years and years I had been chewing my food on the left as it was easier for me and tasted better.
Over the years, my teethstarted to recedd so I would try to chew on the right side.
I started chewing food on the left to wet it and swapped over to the right side to finish off.
I got used to it and started to chew more on the right.
But that has started to recede a bit and food gets caught in my teeth easily and makes my gums feel sore.
I’ve been taking more calcium for over 4 weeks now and I do feel a bit of a difference. Not a massive difference but it does feel more comfortable to eat food now and I don’t get a lot of food caught between my teeth.... plus I also read that calcium aids in weight loss too.
So if people are interested, you might want more calcium :).
