I've never really been big into detoxes, but am feeling sluggish and a little flabby at the end of winter and need to spring clean my system. Apart from lots of water, no booze, fizzy drinks or sugar - any other thoughts? Oh yes and more exercise of course!

Spring clean my body
Avoid anything processed & unnatural, especially margarine & sweeteners, "food-like" substances with chemical names, & anything that's not recognisable as a natural food.
I agree with BadHare.
If you went and did a weeks food shop at just the butchers and fruit and veg stalls at/in your local market and ate only that you'd probably feel the benefits within a week or two. 'Specially if half of what you eat is raw (like salads).
Its what I do and it works for me which is the only reason I suggest it.
I've been using a ketogenic diet for almost a month which is something I do every spring for a 'detox' whatever you want to call it, but you'd have to look it up if you don't already know about it, there's too much to explain here. I don't max out on meat and avoid dairy completely though. (I only mention these as some explanations of ketogenic will say just the opposite). Like everything though, see a doctor or nutritionist first as what works for me might not for you. I arrived at it through trial and error!
Good luck.
