Hi, I have read a fair bit on the internet about the above and really would love to clean up my diet so to speak and eat cleanly but I really don't know where to start. I have IBS so some vegetables are off the list but I'm sure there is plenty more out there. Can anyone suggest anything please?
I found my IBS calmed down so much I only have an attack every 2 or 3 months now when I learnt to meditate to clam stress and made my own bread all the time instead of only occasionally. Sour dough bread in particular never gives me any bloating and pain.
Thank you Dee and that's really helpful. I have looked on the internet for sourdough bread and it looks like it's quite difficult to make i.e. it has to 'work' for 5 days! I love eating sourdough though.
IBS is very difficult and unnerving condition and I am sorry to hear that you suffer from it.
The first thing to suggest from someone who does not understand the differences in types of IBS, would be to suggest eating more fibre. However this is not always the case. It depends, if you have got diarrhoea or constipation. There are two types of fibre as well so more info would be needed before I can give you better advice.
If you want, you can PM me and we can discuss details of your condition and on that basis set some plan to follow.
Thank you very much BeFitCoach and if you don't mind can I please liaise with you over the weekend as I have very little time in the evenings because I don't get home from work that early. Thank you and really appreciate it.
Thank you Dottie for your response and I thought as much and thank you so much for the web links and information regarding the fermented foods, I will certainly give those a try.
