Wow, your Trail bread looks amazing, and I can imagine it was extremely tasty!!! The addition of those nuts and raisins etc - that would make it extra yummy.
You inspired me to bake, I don't think I would have managed to do it without knowing you were doing it too - so thank you so much!
I shall collate the bakes done so far into a fresh post and see if we can inspire others to follow with a bit of a 'bake-off'.
I'll do that post this evening, when I have a bit more time.
Enjoy your bread, and wishing you a great afternoon.
I agree with you entirely since I took over the bread making from my wife about a year ago. There is something about the feel of the dough and then the hot bread when it comes out of the oven. We haven't bought bread for thirty years.
This looks like a really rich tasty bread. Now try making ordinary every day bread from 100% wholemeal flour. Just flour, yeast, salt and water. I was a little worried about the vegetable oil content, I just hope it was olive oil and not rape seed or sunflower or even any of the other seed oils. If you knew the process for making them you would be shocked. Have a look at: healthscams.org.uk/the-trut...
By the way bread tasts better when cooked in the oven than in a machine. I always know machine baked bread immediately I taste it.
